Add its highest setting, the froth from the Aerocinno4 is exquisite. It is almost like a mousse, and mixes with espresso in a way that delights every guest.
We have never been able to achieve this quality froth with the steam wand on our Profitec prosumer espresso machine.
We haven’t use the other settings, which are designed to create slightly less stiffness in the foam, or else simply textured milk. These might be interesting, we just haven’t tried them.
It takes about a full minute to froth fully, so time your frothing together with your espresso so that they arrive together.

One cautionary note: it’s important to clean the remaining froth from the machine after each use. If you leave it there, some milk will dry, and the machine will temporarily refuse to work. (All its lights will be flashing).
Not to worry if this happens, all you need to do is pour out the remaining milk and froth, and clean the inside and outside, including the bottom, with lukewarm water, and dry thoroughly (including the bottom) with a microfiber cloth. It’s like a two minute thing.
But best is to prevent this by pouring remaining milk and froth into a cup, and cleaning the machine quickly after each use. (Sounds like a pain, but it’s really not). Then, when you are ready again, use the milk you poured into a cup together with fresh milk to reach the desired level.

Good even for a coffee drinking/making novice!
For the record, I’m not a coffee aficionado or snob, in fact I’d say I was a coffee novice who prefers sweet and milky drinks from the coffee chains. I definitely don’t like black coffee so I wanted to purchase something that would give me the warm frothy milk like those coffee chain stores. I researched and even though this item had a lower overall rating, I chose it based on the fact that I didn’t want a large capacity steamer/frother. It arrived yesterday (11/1/19) and I washed it right away so I could use it today (11/2/19).I read the instructions thoroughly prior to my first use. Ultimately I decided to start with the “warmed milk” option using 1% milk. It was super easy and actually made enough frothed foamy goodness that I just scooped it all on top of my cinnamon coffee. (Picture attached)I’ve had three cups of coffee this morning and so far I’m loving this. I really hope it continues to work for the price. I’m hopeful and excited to keep using it.

Have using this equipment for:
+ milk frothing
+ To make both cold and hot instant coffee
- one drawback with cold frothing is if you add ice, the ice will knock off the frother ring and then it is messy to put it back while the frother is filled with milk. What I do is do a cold frothing without ice and once done, pour it in to a glass filled with ice 😘
The equipment is pretty easy to use and to clean. Haven’t used any brush so far. Just mild detergent.
Overall, very happy using the Aeroccino 4
