A great alternative to nespresso. (I like nespresso just fine, but why they think Americans are all willing to pay literally double what the French do is a mystery to me.) These nespresso-compatible capsules have excellent flavor. There's one trick to using these capsules, which is to squeeze them a few times (opening the bottom holes) to flex the plastic, otherwise you get quite a bit of water at first, since the pressure has to build up enough to open the holes. If you flex them a few times just before using, the coffee is as good as anything nespresso sells.

Of course, I've seen that full aluminum capsule sealing systems with nitrogen gas and everything (basically perfect clones of nespresso capsules) are now available through AliExpress. It will be nice to see those start to come into usage, so we can have great quality coffee that doesn't expire and at a reasonable price. That will get five stars from me.

I bought the 40 capsule size, 20 of the Gotham and 20 of the Bella. The Gotham lived up to it's promise of flavor and intensity, the Bella was "non descript". In a latte the Bella disappears, this is the kind of espresso for people who don't like the taste of coffee. Would not recommend the Bella. Doers would do their customers a great service by placing an index of intensity in the description like Nespresso does. The one to ten index would in my opinion be very useful. In sum the Gotham is a worthwhile buy the Bella not so much. I would not order the Flagship because the description doesn't signify anything to me about its intensity and I don't want to get stuck with something I won't use. YMMV.

The coffee is good. It works well in my Citiz. I don't notice any extra water in the reservoir. It tastes fresh and the hand packaging is nice. Recycling these takes more effort. I like a wider variety of the Nespresso pods and prefer them. This will be my go to when I'm out of Nespresso pods and need a quick fix.

Ive tried a lot of Nespresso compatible capsules and these are by far the best. Ive tried two other brands including Bestpresso and one of the problems besides taste is that the capsules can jam in the machine. I had that problem with other replacement capsules and returned them. The Doers coffee capsules not only fit perfectly without jamming the coffee maker but the flavor is as close to authentic Nespresso as I've tasted.
