I have only had these products for 1 day so this review is just based on that and I have no idea how well these will hold up over time.
The inserts go into my phone and bluetooth headset firmly and do not come out. One insert does come out of my kids tablet but it is old and the charging port has to be worn out a bit.
The size of the adapter insert is good. I did not have to modify my phone case. And the magnetic part is the same as their cables. It is strong and attaches easily. This is unlike another brand I bought a few days ago off Amazon and returned.
I really hope these last. The only week point I see is that there are 5 little pins in the adapter that are spring loaded to make contact on the adapter insert. Just like the older macbook pros with the magnetic charging cable.
For whatever reason, as they state on their website, my Samsung phone does fast charging when the led is up on the adapter and regular charging on when turned down. This is assuming you are using the fast charger in the first place.
So I bought the 3 cables for $24 and the two adapters for almost $12. That should take care of my charging needs for a while.
I use one cable for next to my bed. One at work. One for on the couch and one adapter for my micro usb charger that I like, in the car. I also use one in my kitchen where I usually charge things also.
I even put an insert into my rechargeable bluetooth earbud. I
With this adapter, you no longer have to flip the connector around looking for the correct orientation; which is a godsend if you're used to USB type C or lighting cable connectors and use them concurrently across multiple devices
Advantage of this adapter has over the two mentioned is that no physical force is required to plug in as the magnet is very strong. It also prevents dust from going into the phone/tablet/etc charging port
Negatives I say is you have to focus on positioning. When horizontally* (phone flat down on table) at the edge of the table or on the edge atop of a stack of books for example, gravity may unhinge the magnet. Best to wait a while to see if gravity is not on your side or not. In vertical position is does better, but it may detach/slide off center if you bump into the cord. Over time, it becomes second nature and you'll know how to orient the charger in different scenarios knowing what works and what doesn't
Fast/turbo charging works for compatible devices/chargers
Green light indicator pops up when power is supplied
Overall very convenient accessory. No more flipping the cord and re-connecting if you didn't get it right the first time.

So far they’re working pretty well, but I have a couple of issues with them. First, and this is minor, I wish they came in different colors. I only got chrome attachments and they look pretty stupid on a lot of my devices. Not sure why they didn’t just make some flat black ones to match 90% of products out there.
Second, the heads that attach to the charging cords are very bulky, so they make it more prone to disconnecting at the slightest movement because it’s so much heavier. Long story short, just set it and forget it. I found that just picking up and putting a charging phone down would knock it out.
Other than these two issues, it’s a good product. Hopefully it’ll hold up over time, but if it doesn’t, I’ll be sure to update this review.

If you want to use your device whilst charging, you have to be able to sit very still because the magnetic contact isn't particularly strong and any angle adjustment will disconnect it. Ironically at times when you do disconnect it, the magnetic plug may come out with the lead, this may be down to the device's socket having been used for years so maybe slightly larger than originally built.
There is a green light on the lead when it has power going to it which is a little weird because it's plugged into the mains so there is no need for it. It would be more useful if it lit only when connected to a device so you know the connection is secure.
With this Netdot cable, the problem doesn't arise. The tiny adapter plugs into your USB port, and protrudes by about 4mm. If you have a phone case, it barely protrudes outside the case. So the magnet is external to the phone - easy to clean if anything iron is about.
Having the adapter inside the USB port has the advantage that it prevents dust getting in. I leave my adapter in all the time, which therefore avoids the wear & tear inserting and withdrawing a cable every time you need to charge your phone. The magnet does not seem to affect the compass on my phone (Samsung A8+). Contactless payment still works fine too.
The cable is about 5' long, and has an LED in the connector to show it has power. With my phone, it charges at up to 1180mA; this compares to 900mA when using wireless charging, or 1770mA if I use a shorter good quality cable (Anker). So, it charges at a good rate. Connecting to a computer works just fine for data transfer.
The connector can be connected either way - you don't need to inspect it, just touch it on. The magnetic connection is pretty firm; other reviewers say it detaches too easily, but I find it okay. Any firmer attachment would require stronger magnets.
What is great is if you have two devices, one with a micro-USB connector, and one with a USB-C. If you buy both types of NetDot connectors and leave them in your device, then you can use the same cable to charge them - the magnetic connection is the same.
Also some of the reviews said that fast charging works; this may be true on some phones but NOT on a Samsung Galaxy S6 or S8.
