09/20/2019 Update:It's been almost a year since I got these and I felt like I had to chime in after seeing all the reviews and photos on this product. I've been using the same adapter head on my phone between 2 phones now and while it's a bit dirty, it's still perfectly in-tact and working perfectly fine. I don't pull it out often nor do I drop my phone.Original Review:I just got these in today and was really excited. My current device uses USB-C but I own a lot of Micro USB devices where the constant plugging and unplugging of cables has had a negative effect on both the cable and ports so I absolutely love this idea.The adapters are fairly magnetic and stay connected to the cable unless tugged on firmly.I have been unable to get "fast charge" to work on my Samsun Galaxy S8+, including flipping the cable and the adapter around but it's not slow charging either. It's a relatively decent charge speed that is only slightly worse than fast charge.Attached are my charge speed comparisons and better images of the connectors as they aren't shown well in the listing if you wanted to compare to previous gens.

    I love NetDot's cables and have several "Gen 5" and "Gen 7" cables and connectors that work well together. I decided to try out the Gen 10 cables, and they're a definite upgrade. It's worth noting that the Gen 10 cables and connectors are not compatible with earlier ones, but that's not a problem for me.

    All of the cables have really nice nylon braiding that looks like it will wear well and the cable itself seems thicker. I've had no problems with charging (I don't have a fast charge device to try so I can't speak on that) and data transfer. The cables also come with Velcro-style cable ties if you want them. I really like them and it's nice that they're optional.

    I have used the Micro-USB and USB-C tips and they fit nicely, don't pull out, but can be removed. I don't have an Apple device to try the Lightning connector on but imagine that they work equally well. Pretty much all of my USB devices have NetDot connectors and I use the cables at work, home and in my car. They're particularly great in the car since my phone can charge and I don't have to worry about the charging connector breaking when I pull the phone off its mount. Connection is also really easy.

    I've had my other cables for over a year with no issues and expect many more years of good use. The Gen10 should give the same longevity.

    These allow my Valve Index Knuckles (VR controllers) to charge fairly quickly while connected to my computer's USB 3.0 ports. I got these to reduce the long-term strain on the charging ports of the Knuckles by not having to connect/disconnect USB-C cables whenever they needed charging. This is definitely a worthwhile investment, and you get an extra cable + connectors which works out nicely if one of them gets damaged later on.
    One benefit I did not realize until I got these is that the magnetic tip end has a blue LED which makes it VERY easy to locate it in the dark to be able to connect it to the magnetic tips. The magnets are very strong too while, at the same time, being easy to deliberately disconnect the cable.
    Be very careful with these magnets - they're definitely strong enough to seriously harm children or pets if they ingest them and potentially get linked between folds of the intestines. As long as you exercise due caution this is a very safe, very useful product.

    I purchased the Net dot charge cords because of frustration with lightening cords. I tend to leave my iPads plugged in while Reading or using them and can’t seem to get a cord to last longer than two months. I thought something that would disconnect if I applied torque on the cord would solve my problem. To some extent it has. Lightning ports on iPads wear quickly if used while charging and I just had to spend quite a bit to get one replaced. The idea was good and Using this cord seems to limit port damage since every time I touch the cord it shears oFirst. The main disadvantage is this cord slowly charges a 12” iPad Pro which takes several hours to charge even with factory components. . On smaller devices using a micro usb an iPad mini, or iPhone this tip works like any other. On an iPad Pro using the correct Apple charging block, the charge time is slower. I’m still testing to get an actual percentage. . Comparing the magnetic tip on the net dot gen 10, an Apple tip, the Net dot is about .002” shorter. The cord itself is braided but the thread casing material is slightly thin. The junction between the cord and magnetic socket tip is fragile and there is no bend protection on the cord tip interface. I made one using a pen spring. The tips have a strong magnet and change easily & quickly. Disconnecting requires a breaking motion and the tip remains in the device (this limits port wear) if you want to remove the tip from the device pull straight. It’s a good system.

    I bought these to charge my Logitech G533 headset. The micro USB adapter felt like it was starting to get damaged from constantly plugging it in to charge and then unplugging it to use. Also accidental drops have had the charging cable forcefully pulled out which isn’t great for the life of the cable. Anyways I bought these to charge them and they work great! The magnetic adapters fit right in the headsets recessed port and charge it just as well as the original!

    The cables are nicely braided too and seem very durable. Haven’t used them for data transfer too much but they do work and I backed up an iPhone with them. Speed seemed normal so yay.

    Very happy with my purchase. Charging power appears to be equivalent to other regular charging cords. Have had them foe several weeks and they seem to be durable and are holding up well. My family uses several electronic devices and mobile phones and its nice to not need to search around for the correct cord especially when on a road trip! This brand was an excellent value for the money. I just purchased another 3 cords that are a different length. one thing to keep in mind is that once you decide on a brand or system of magnetic charging you have to stick with it. Or you have to switch out all the different plug-ins for your devices. So choose wisely and figure out what style of system is going to best work for you.
