"A network state is a social network with a moral innovation, a sense of national consciousness, a recognized founder, a capacity for collective action, an in-person level of civility, an integrated cryptocurrency, a consensual government limited by a social smart contract, an archipelago of crowdfunded physical territories, a virtual capital, and an on-chain census that proves a large enough population, income, and real-estate footprint to attain a measure of diplomatic recognition. "

— Balaji Srinivasan

Early this year, I was participating in Balaji's VR lectures on the topic of Network State. Since then, I was so looking forward to reading this book to gain a fundamental understanding of the future of society and community --- using innovative technologies to build decentralized online communities first and eventually create a new state with a crowdsourced narrative model + digital currency incentives + community-formed moral code of conduct and culture.

I'm so glad to be part of the 1729 community, where I see many entrepreneurs, investors, builders, and remote workers have already started to gather into online groups and practice their ideas beyond the barriers of language, border and culture. The future will lead to somewhere more than we can imagine with the help of technology, and everything will happen gradually and then suddenly.

Better equip yourself in time by reading this remarkable book!

Balaji has been called our generation’s Einstein, amongst the greatest thinkers of our time, yet neither of these do him justice!

The Network State eloquently takes the reader on a journey through Balaji’s incredibly thorough analysis of the past, present and what possible futures await us.

Most scientists, leaders and futurists simply extrapolate the past or present historical trend analysis for their predictions.

Balaji is one of the most original thinkers of our time, The Network State is a must read to both understand and have any positive impact on our collective future.
