I used it for the first time two weeks ago and I was out in the yard for several hours and had no sunburn at all. Also, no burning in my eyes. Works perfectly. Completely unscented. When first applied it is opaque white, but don’t worry. Spread it around by rubbing and it disappears. Doesn’t immediately come off when swimming. It doesn’t clog my pores and is not oily. And it doesn’t sting my eyes. It feels noticeable on the skin for a very short time. I put Cortisone-10 Aloe Cream lotion on my face before applying which makes it easier to wash the sunscreen completely off in the shower. Good stuff! Not sure, but I think some scuba diving locations / resorts/ pools only allow mineral sunscreens like this one. ( (Forgot to mention- I’m guessing you can use lotion other than the Cortisone-10 Aloe Cream (it’s available on Amazon) but it works so well that I stick with it. )

Neutrogena makes trustable products. I've used their sunscreen for years, along with their other skin products. I love how Neutrogena makes affordable products that are effective and safe. While this sunscreen does provide me protection and has a matte finish, it has a strong white cast. My skin is fair, but this sunscreen takes it to another level. I look vampiric in broad daylight. I thought mineral sunscreen had evolved - hence, "sheer!" I do find this sunscreen hard to wash off with regular soap - I highly recommend doing a double cleanse.

Definitely be warned, if you're not sensitive (or have an issue with) to chemical sunscreen, I advise using that or a tinted mineral sunscreen. I use this sunscreen when I go for runs - since I sweat a lot, I like how the water resistance keeps the sunscreen in tack. I feel like this product does prime the skin a little, if you plan to use a powder foundation, perhaps the white cast won't bother you too much. But there are other great products in the market, and you shouldn't have to accommodate to the product. It should work for you.

Neutrogena’s Zinc Oxide Mineral Face Sunscreen Lotion with SPF 50 is oil-free, non-comedogenic & non-greasy. This 2 ounce tube was worth the $9.89 I paid for it! I give it a good shake & apply to my face which has been cleansed with vitamin C serum. This is not heavy. It’s a little running so be careful getting it out of the tube. A little goes a long way!! This doesn’t leave a white cast look on me. I’m able to apply my face primer & powder & one would never know I have sunscreen on. It’s definitely sheer & definitely dry touch. It absorbs quickly after a little bit of rubbing, not as much as other non zinc oxide mineral sunscreens I’ve used. The 50 SPF is an added bonus to this fabulous sunscreen. I’ve purchased Banana Boat’s powered sunscreen that I use to reapply as I don’t like to put sunscreen over my makeup especially if it’s a workday. If I’m outside at home I would reapply as I don’t usually wear makeup at home. I’m so happy I did my research on zinc oxide sunscreens. These are without all the harmful chemicals. This may be only 2 ounces but I foresee this lasting me awhile. I’ll definitely repurchase & I definitely recommend!

I have fair skin that is prone to burning and I was looking for an inexpensive mineral sunscreen. When I first tried this sunscreen, I found it slightly hard to apply and tacky on my skin due to the consistency as well as having a very white cast so I went back to my more expensive tinted mineral sunscreen. While my tinted sunscreen is more cosmetically elegant and easier to apply for daily use, I found that even with reapplying I would get sunburned on my hairline when I was out in the sun sweating. I decided to try this sunscreen again before a full day at the pool (used some foundation after applying to cover up the white cast), despite not reapplying and sweating for 4 hours out in the sun I had no sunburn whatsoever. So while I probably won't use this for daily use, I will definitely keep this around for days that I plan to be out in the sun for long periods of time, even if I have to use some foundation to tone down the white cast.

So I notice the listing says this is for Sheer Zinc "Dry Touch", but nowhere in the packaging or product does it say "Dry Touch". Even in the photos for the product, none of them show "Dry Touch" on them for the face sunblock, and only one image for the body sunscreen 3 pack shows a different tube that says it.
I know Neutrogena does have other sunscreens that say "Dry Touch" on them that may well be, but most of those come in blue tubes/packaging, not yellow, and be careful because some are not mineral. This one says it contains no oils, yet it sits on your face very greasy and shiny for HOURS. When first applying it feels thick and you really have to work to appear it around your face, it's not thin or light at all. Hours later I could touch my face, and my hand and fingers would come away shiny and oily. I thought this was supposed to be more of a light, matte sunscreen, but it's definitely neither. Giving it a 3 because I'm sure it will still protect from the sun, which is it's main purpose. But this cannot be my daily sunscreen.
