My skin is very sensitive but also prone to break outs in the t-line. I tried lots of different brands and even the same brand's different products (loreal, nivea, olay, neutragena, anew, almay, ponds etc). I didn't try more expensive products (such as shiseido, lancome, guerlain, dior etc) because I don't like spending that much on moisturizers. What I look in a moisturizer is

1. it should be dermatalogically tested

2. and hypo-allergenic,

3. it won't clog pores and do its job without break-outs.

Within this criteria and within my price range, this product is a good one. I gave this product 5 stars because I'm buying this for the third time and don't have any complaints.

How it feels: If I apply this moisturizer in the morning, my face gets shiny toward the end of the day. But most other moisturizers I've tried make my face shine right away. This product feels lighter, less oily, and less shiny than the following 3 brands:
- Cetaphil Fragrance Free Daily Facial Moisturizer, SPF 15
- Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream for Dry, Sensitve Skin
- Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
How well it does its job: it's effective on skin constantly made dry and sensitive by Benzoyl peroxide and Retin A products. If I overdo it, dry itchy skin usually gets back to normal after one application, and redness disappears after one-two hours. SPF 15 has worked well enough to protect against sun sensitivity caused by Retin A and the sun of South Bay Area, CA.
Adverse effects: None for me. I haven't noticed any more clogging than with other products. The smell doesn't bother me (it barely smells).
My skin type: I have sensitive combination skin, which easily gets irritated and can break out after a single face scratch.
I'v also tried Aveeno, L'Oreal, and other well-known brands. This moisturizer is still my choice.

First of all, if you're a dude you'll like that this doesn't have a strong odor. I'm a guy, and I'm prone to acne, but this stuff works for me. It doesn't smell like flowers and rainbows so your buddies won't ever know, and it keeps you from getting too oily.

I used this product for years before switching to the Neutrogena Healthy Skin formulation, which contains glycolic acid. I loved this moisturizer. I did not find it too oily or greasy - one of the reasons that I switched to it was becuase I found it to be much lighter than the Clinique Daily Moisturizing Lotion that I had been using. I could even use this product during the summer, when it is very hot and humid where I live. Neutrogena makes great products. Highly recommended.

This used to be my favorite face moisturizing lotion. However, the new version apparently has a new formulation with "broad spectrum SPF 15" rather than "SPF 15". The difference? A horrible, chemical scent that you can't get away from. The old version had three sunscreen ingredients: Octinoxate, Octisalate, and Oxybenzone. The new version has 4 sunscreen ingredients: Avobenzone, Octisalate, Octocrylene, and Oxybenzone. Amazon has not updated the product photos to accurately reflect the new ingredients. Beware, if you are at all sensitive to scents, you may find this product repulsive. After 10 years of loving Neutrogena oil-free moisture, I guess I will have to find something else.

So I've been struggling with acne for 4 years and it doesn't show any signs of going away soon... But as anyone with acne knows, we try tons of different products in hopes that it will be *the one* that banishes our acne forever (we can dream). Anyways, I've tried many moisturizers, including the other neutrogena ones. This is the ONLY moisturizer I've used that does not breakout my skin. The only thing I will say is that it is not a very powerful moisturizer. If you have dry skin or flaky spots, this will not do much to help. In those cases, I opt for a stronger moisturizer. But this is perfect for daily use - it's light and refreshing. It does have a somewhat strong fragrance at first, but I like the smell and it fades quickly so I don't mind.
Also, for any fellow acne sufferers I'll tell you what has always made me breakout with moisturizers, and maybe this can help you:
-Unfortunately, ANY SPF lotion irritates my skin and leads to breakouts. I don't know why, maybe I just have sensitive skin.
-A lot of moisturizers with oil make me breakout. I'm not saying oil is evil though! I know there's a few oils that are very good for your skin, but honestly I'm too scared to try them because I finally found a routine that has cleared up most of my acne. If you're interested, I've heard tea tree oil is good.
-Additionally, very creamy consistency moisturizers usually lead to a breakout for me too. I don't know what it is, but I'm guessing it's an ingredient that is similar in all of them.
(And if anyone is wondering how I cleared up my acne, I wash my face with a gentle cleanser at night and moisturize right away! While my face still has some dew on it, that's the best time to. I then put a VERY thin layer of benzoyl peroxide gel on my problem areas (It dries out skin easily!) In the morning I wash my face with a salicylic acid wash and so far, all of my pimples (I usually have 8-12 at a time) have vanished and now I only have 2! )
