I have tried a ton of spot correction creams, this is the real deal and works the best.
It is best to use it at the onset of acne, within 2 days the acne is gone with no scarring.
I recommend it to everyone I know.
My only drawback to this product is that the cream does not disappear like the prescription product that I have used. The prescription product that I used had a more clear appearance and felt more like a cool liquid that had some viscosity. It does smooth on clear if you take care to use as little as possible. And it does require a good amount of rubbing to get it to clear out.
The most important aspect is the effectiveness and this is the best product I have used. It only takes one application to see results! This is a far cry from the days of Clearasil and Oxy where you would see drying and peeling before you saw results. In this case the next day you see the redness reduced! That alone makes this a very good product. One of the biggest problem with zits is that they can be inflamed and red and when that happens it does not matter if you apply a covering type of cream because you can still feel the swollen painful effect.
What also makes this product so good is that it does not dry your skin up like all the other products do. Even ProActiv and AcneFree can do this.
I was using AcneFree and eventually my acne improved greatly. It was time to switch to something more mild and so I switched to Neutrogena's Pore Refining Cleanser and Pore Refining Toner. With these two products, my acne is still stable and with the use of the On the Spot Acne Treatment cream I now have a workable solution to my acne with less drying. Yes, my acne is a little bit worse than I had with AcneFree but now my skin does not feel as dry and rough from the peeling effects. Overall, I recommend this product along with the other Neutrogena cleansers.
Finally, I give into actual acne treatment, this benzyl peroxide 2.5%. I wanted to start with the lowest percentage possible because I just don't like medication/chemicals all that much. I bought it during the day before work so I dabbed some on a small part of my forehead before work to test out to see if I have allergic reactions or anything. By the end of my shift, my pustules became painful ( they weren't before), inflamed, and hard to the touch. Honestly I was so scared that the cream had made my acne worse. But I decided to give it another chance so that night, I washed my face thoroughly, popped some of my pustules, and applied the cream all over my forehead. It started to sting a little bit but not that bad. In about 30 minutes, the redness from squeezing the pimples faded dramatically. The next morning, everything shrunk by about 50%. Even the painful and inflamed ones. I am so happy! However, like many other people who have mentioned, there is a bit of flaky skin and itchiness the next morning. I didn't put any crash or lotion on my forehead because I didn't want anything to interfere with the acne treatment, but I think I'll try to add some cream to it to see what happens. I would recommend this product but definitely try it on a small area of your skin first, and just give it a little more time!
Recommended - this is great stuff!
