#1 the sole is nit hard at all. I feel every rock and its size right directky on the bottom of my foot.
#2 tgey are not slip resistance.
I will be giving these ti my sister who will not need them for the purpises in which i do.
laces: are awkward and do not properly support your ankles. Even tightly laced, they looked like I was wearing unlaced basketball shoes. They were at least soft and relatively forgiving, however.
water: unfortunately, these boots could not stand up to rainy conditions. Even after waterproofing several times over, you are left with soaking feet for days after. This is also partly because of the poor lacing, which leaves the boots wide open. The tread is NOT slip-resistant! Be mindful if you are out on any ledges!
soles: decent enough tread for traction, but were extremely soft. Every rock I hit punched right into my foot, and left my feet battered after a single day.
toe: 2 days, and the toes of the shoe were worn to the lattice. No rubber left. Again this was a moderately difficult hard trail, but 2 days?
The verdict: If you are in dire need of something cheap to get you through a day, then go ahead. But I would advise picking out a pair for a few more bucks that will give you some comfort and protection.

Very lightweight and comfortable. Construction is not designed for long off road trail hikes but just fine for running around town or doing chores.Published 16 months ago by Steve
