I guess I'm feeling a little underwhelmed by the overall story. Sure, I love a good mystery but it wasn't all that exciting. I did like the writing, it was pretty good and I love dual points of view.
Starting this book I had no clue what was going on. I had a lot of questions along with the main characters, Charlie and Silas. I also liked the chemistry between the two, though there wasn't a whole lot of romance yet. And I do love me a good mystery so I thought bring it on!
I enjoyed the story but not a whole lot happened so it's hard for me to say if I love it yet. I just really wanted some real answers as to what in the world is going on with Charlie and Silas that causes them to lose their memories like that. And then there was that cliffhanger. Hmm... I guess only time and the next book will tell.
Overall, Never Never by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher had a prettyintriguing storyline but in the end not enough happened. It was also a very short book that I finished very quickly. Not that there's anything wrong with that but I just needed more, you know? Bring on the next part, please!
I chose this book for three very important reasons....
The first reason is that it's a free read on amazon and who doesn't like free? The second reason is because a fellow blogger/book reviewer, Chamera Sampson wrote a wonderful review about this book and it intrigued me and peeked my interest just enough to want to read this story. And finally the third reason is I love anything by Colleen Hoover...
This book has totally blown my mind and I am really anxious to get my hands on the next part to this story. At the beginning I was extremely confused about what was going on, just as the characters were, and it puzzled me so much that the story reeled me in enough to capture my attention and make me read this in one whole setting. This is a totally different way of writing that I have never seen before in my years as a reader, but I loved it all the same. It's a fresh new way of reading and it's extremely addicting. I love the characters and how the author made the story line so believable and interesting all at the same time. I highly recommend this story to all ages, because I believe it to be age appropriate for the older teens and YA to enjoy. I am ready to jump in with both feet and start the next part of the story.
Never Never Part #1 finished on a cliffhanger, and now I am looking forward to reading Part #2 and seeing how the story plays out. Never Never Part #1 was a quick read and perfect for fans of both Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher.
I am really, really not a fan of any kind of supernatural, shape shifter, vampire, kind of stuff (although I loved The Law of Moses and The Providence Trilogy). Meh, I guess that last statement makes me a bit of a hypocrite.
If this is a supernatural/paranormal book I wish it had said in bold letters that it was, I would still have bought it, I love Colleen and Tarryn's writing. Silas (love that name BTW) and Charlie seem normal. The setting is normal. The spin around the families is normal. But and it is a big but, how can what happened to them be something of real life?
Normally I read a thriller/detective novel and I get it straight away - Black Lies, I knew! The Prince - I sussed out who was in the stable.
Just don't know why, how, who and I am frustrated.
The penny drops - I didn't figure out who it was in Mud Vein either, Tarryn! The black hearted one must be responsible.
So, feeling discombobulated when is the sequel out please. I sooooooooo hate being in limbo.
I think that is spoiler freeish.
This book had me captivated from beginning to end. I couldn’t put it down and was so glad that I waited to read these books until all of them were out. If I had to wait to find out what happened to Charlie and how her and Silas were going to get out of the mess they were in,I would have gone crazy. I loved every aspect of this book.
