Ami is a fun, lighthearted and great character. She's like a breath of fresh air with her enjoyment of life and perception of everything around her. She's an elementary teacher(I think kindergarten) and she finds herself waiting in the airport in Scotland for her brother in law to pick her up. She has the summer break to go help her sister who is about to have her baby. Unbeknownst to her, her sister Jessie is having that baby as she arrives in Scotland and her brother in law has sent Duncan in his stead to pick her up. Duncan is completely caught off guard when he first spots Ami, enough so that he knows he's in trouble. From the first moment they speak to the last chapter, Ami and Duncan are a fun couple to read about.
I loved Duncan's fun adventures and outings that he surprises Ami with. I loved the "sightseeing" throughout the book and I especially loved the ending. He was a great character to think you know who he is but the further you read in the story, the more is revealed about him that you want to cheer him on in his pursuit of Ami.
These two MCs are from different countries so a long distance relationship isn't what either want. But how to work that out, because they both love where they live and their jobs. So maybe this isn't going to be happily ever after, after all and just the chance to know that love is out there and there are good people all around. We just have to look for them. I'll let you read to find out.
Content: Clean. Some sweet kisses.
This was a sweet and clean romance about how quickly love can develop and how wonderful it can be when you can trust and love completely. The imagery of Scotland was fantastic and made me want to take a trip there myself.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
They develop a quick friendship but the more time they spend together, the more time he wants to spend with her. Meanwhile Ami thinks that this is just a little fun for the month she's in Scotland. Ami and Duncan spend a lot of time together in the month she's in Scotland but before he can tell her wants to try to have a long-distance relationship with her, she breaks things off. Is Duncan ready to let her go without fighting for her?
I enjoyed this book from the beginning until the end. Ami was so easy going and up for anything, and Duncan was such a gentleman. I've enjoyed all of the books in this series--reading them was like going on mini-vacations in Europe, and they all have happy endings which is a plus. This is a clean romance with just a few kisses.
