My old Fitbit was way better

I’ve been an Apple user my whole life. I think my father would roll over in his grave if he knew how much I loathed this product. I’ve never been able to bring myself to pay over $400 for a watch, so I’ve always had a Fitbit. Well, I splurged on this one for myself and my husband since it had new “upgrades” (that were already available with my Ionic). I’ve been wearing it for about a week now and I have to say I’m completely disappointed. The sleep tracking is garbage. It tracks my workouts ok, but seriously why is Standing an important metric? The battery is even worse!! I was able to wear my Ionic for at least six days between charges. You literally have to charge this thing everyday and it takes almost 4 hours to charge after running it down to 2%. Returning this ASAP and getting the new Fitbit Sense. Apple has a lonnnnnggggg way to go to catch up to Fitbit in my opinion. So until they can beef up everything that’s under the hood and be game changers like they are for all my other devices, I won’t be supporting the Apple Watch.

O2 Sensor doesn't work well

The new Blood Oxygen Sensor doesn't work well in my Apple Watch. It only works if your arm is completely still and apparently only with a really snug fit. For example, it doesn't get any reading during a workout or in a car. The $30 fingertip sensor works in both of those settings. Honestly, to me it seems not well engineered or alternatively, my watch is defective.

(This review is not about Series 5 vs. SE vs. Series 6).

This is my first Apple Watch and I like it a lot! Works pretty fast and the most important things: it charges fast + the battery last (I use it from ~7.30 to ~22.00 and the battery is stills around 50%).

The only BAD THING is that I received the box opened with the plastic ripped... so that’s why in rating it with 4 stars.

Watch Me Get the Latest Apple Model

I try to skip a generation of each watch because you could replace these things every couple of years if you get the latest. The 6 seems like a good place to upgrade, though. Works better at guesstimating my exercise metrics. Has a better longer-lasting battery. Good new faces. it has O2 readings, too, although this is an iffy addition. My readings always are around 97, so I'm not sure it's an important reading unless it sets off an alarm if you go low and might have Covid. All in all, this upgrade should get me through the next few years. Who knows what the next upgrade will bring? I also buy a clear cover for the watch face to make it last longer and there are a host of strap options that will allow you to customize the color of your watch to fit your wardrobe.

If you are used to measuring your fitness goals using Fitbit, you may be happier buying another Fitbit. Fitbit's reports are much clearer to read and more easily accessible on their apps. I decided to upgrade to the Apple 6 because the lights had gone out on my Fitbit 3. It read measurements and reported them in the app; but the Fitbit itself was unreadable. The Apple 6 as a watch is incredible. It's clock face is always on, it can reflect your personality, It can be used as a phone (Makes me feel like Dick Tracy), it sends emails that are actually readable and easy to respond to. It has other bells and whistles that perform from good to bad. The wash your hands features supposedly can determine when you are washing your hands and start a 20-second timer, but it takes a good 10 seconds before it starts and I finish when it gets to 10 seconds.... The Apple 6 needs to be recharged everyday. I take it off before I go to bed to recharge. That makes the sleep apps worthless. They statistics are nowhere near as good as the Fitbit so I wear my Fitbit to bed. The Fitbit can last a week at times without recharging. As a super watch, the Apple 6 is great. If you want to measure your fitness and sleep routines, stick with a Fitbit. If not you'll end up like me wearing both and using each one for what they do best.

This is my first smartwatch ever, and I really love it! It does everything I need it to and more. The look is really clean for the black aluminum model. From watching review videos on YouTube, just be aware that it doesn’t come with a wall adapter, just the charging wire. Other than that, this is a great product.

I have tried watches from Samsung and Fitbit and by far the Apple Watch Series 6 is superior. I did really like the Fitbit Sense but the button on the lower left hand side drove me crazy. Sometimes you had to swipe multiple times to get the screen to respond but the thing that made me send it back was the O2 sensor. If I wanted to track the O2 readings I would have to pay a monthly fee to upgrade to Fitbit premium. After paying $330.00 for the watch I didn’t think it was right to charge me for tracking information. I also liked the Samsung watch but it was too big to fit under a long sleeve shirt sleeve. The Apple Watch is a quality watch that can do just about anything you want it to. I owned the Apple Watch Series 5 and was very happy with it. It is more expensive than the others but it is worth it. The biggest drawback is you have to have an iPhone to use it. I mainly use mine for health monitoring but have used the sound monitoring app and email and messaging app. I get around 2.5 days between charges. I guess the thing I can say about it that describes it pretty well is it is very versatile and it just works.

I am extremely disappointed in the battery life of this watch. It is, by far, its biggest failure and, had I known, it would have been an absolute deal killer.

The "always on" feature is nice, but somewhat jerky. It is convenient when you want to discreetly sneak a peek at what time it is without anyone noticing that you're bored, but I'm not sure it's fully ready for final release. The transition between always on mode and active mode could be much smoother.

Other than the always on mode, the only feature of interest that this watch has over my old Apple Watch 4 is the blood sat feature. While it's interesting, I find it to be less useful than I anticipated. What it does, I can do just as easily with the $12 meter laying on my desk.

All things considered, I would love to trade my new Apple Watch 6 for a new Apple Watch 4. The nominal new features are nowhere near worth the trade off of the extraordinary battery life failure.

O produto é excelente e é consideravelmente superior aos demais smartwatches do mercado, seja em termos de acabamento, funcionalidades, design, capacidade de processamento etc. É o único smartwatch, por exemplo, que é realmente à prova d’água e não apenas resistente à água (pelo menos até o momento desta avaliação). É só ativar a função de bloqueio aquático que o usuário pode mergulhar na piscina, no mar ou onde queira, sem preocupações sobre prejuízos ao aparelho. Para acompanhamento de treinos de natação, por exemplo, é ótimo - detecta até o estilo do nado automaticamente -, de modo que nenhum outro aparelho oferece essa comodidade com efetiva segurança.

Para os praticantes de atividades físicas o aparelho é excepcional, sendo o campo onde efetivamente se destaca. As funcionalidades relacionadas a saúde são excelentes e muitas delas emitem lembretes regulares para que coloquemos em prática pequenas ações, como ficar em pé, nos movimentar, respirar de forma concentrada etc. Embora algumas dessas funcionalidades também estejam presentes em outros aparelhos, no Apple Watch sua capacidade de personalização e controle é superior.

Embora o design do Apple Watch seja o mais copiado do mercado, há outros com desenho mais chamativo, como é o caso do ZenWatch, por exemplo, que casa muito bem um design moderno com social. No entanto, sem sombra de dúvidas, o design é também um ponto forte do produto, apesar de inexistir diferença entre o Series 6 e os anteriores.

Minha única crítica é quanto à dimensão do aparelho, que mesmo o de 44 mm para uma pessoa grande e um pouco mais atlética (tenho 1,90 m), não fica tão proporcional, mas nada que prejudique a avaliação. Se tivesse de 46-48 mm, acredito que seria o ideal. A bateria poderia ser um pouco mais durável também, já que sua autonomia, em média, é de 2 dias.

Em síntese, é um luxo desnecessário - sobretudo pelo preço -, mas consideravelmente útil!

Eu usava um Série 3. Achei esse bem melhor. Estou gostando muito. A bateria dura um pouco mais, mas ainda é o problema a ser resolvido para esse relógio. De resto, embora tivesse ficado assustado com o preço do fornecedor, menor que o que estava encontrando por aí, a entrega foi bem rápida e o equipamento, claro, é de fábrica mesmo, original e na caixa.
