I came across this shoe and what struck me first was the color I love it! The second thing was the shape very unusual. The toe part is so much wider and looked like it would fit all my toes unlike the standard narrow sneaker. They came in wide even better!! Some people said the sneaker ran small another said too big but since it came in wide I gave it a shot and bought my true size a 7.5.
They came in yesterday and o m g the color is true to the image hot pink and black! They fit like a glove honest to God I could not believe it. I can wiggle my toes in these sneakers that too me was amazing. I haven't had a chance to work out in them but I did do errands today and I really don't want to take them off. I never bought a shoe that just fit and gave me so much comfort. They are super light and I can feel so much more of the ground. Which for me is nice and perhaps will help me balance better.
I can't say enough good things about this shoe. I am beyond impressed.Read more ›
Daily use: Row, strength train, and distance run (indoor)
Training time per day: 2-4 hrs.
About these shoes. I love the color. I bought the dazzling blue color. I typically wear a 9 or a 9.5. Neither of those two fit. The 9.5 would have fit if the toe box was more square. This shoe has a toe box that tapers, and so my smaller 3rd and 4th toes were squished. Additionally, the toe "bumper" is not centered, so it looks like your feet are curved in. Even though I have never worn a 10 before in my life, that is the size that fit me. These shoes are SUPER comfortable - like wearing slippers, but with a little more support. Note - because of that slight support and heel raise, they are not totally minimalist (or barefoot). I can not write to durability because I am writing this review too soon.
Pros: COMFORT and attractive color.
One star lost for awkward toe design - squaring the toe box more would have made the shoe more attractive, and allowed the shoe to be more true to size.
Other minimalist sneaker I like are the Merrell Crush Gloves (also a crosstrainer, but with 0 heel drop, size 9) and the Merrell Arc Access 2 (runners with 0 heel drop but 8mm cushioning from heel to toe, size 9.5).
During exercise I feel much more balanced and responsive to instability. They are also comfortable enough for running although I have only run short distances in them so far (5kms). I must add that I love New Balance. I've tried other brands and have always experienced some kind of discomfort not worth the money you pay for but New Balance shoes have not disappointed me yet. I'm staying loyal to New Balance :)

These were great shoes but the only thing I would say as with all minimus shoes I've owned is that after about a year, the side plastic will start to detach from the shoe material. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Natalie Wegener
