When a story is this short, it is always going to feel a little bit rushed, but with this one you still feel the struggles and considerations that Nick has with Sammi being Sam, and his decision/feelings only felt slightly spontaneous (again, due to the length) since you had gotten a feeling for their relationship.
I do wish that more pages had been added so it didn't feel so fast-paced and rushed, because the subject and characters seems interesting.

"I'm a man, Nick. The woman you knew never really existed. She was someone I was trying to be.”
There were emotions, inner turmoil, and familiarity Nick had when around Sam again. I was surprised how much emotion was packed into this short read. I love how the author shows love is about who a person is on the inside not the outside.
Should it have been longer, yes. BUT, it still got to the point with telling a beautiful story.
