The title of this book, New Beginnings, describe this book very well. Victoria was happy living in Chicago until best friend Charlie was married. It was then she started feeling lonely and ready for a change, so she makes the decision to move to Florida to be near her best friend. New place, newly married friend expecting a new baby, well things just didn’t sit well with Victoria, so when an Amish girl mentioned a room available in the Amish house she was staying, Victoria jumped at the chance. But little did she know how her life would change with her new Amish friend.
New Beginnings is a very nice and refreshing story of Victoria and the new changes happening in her life. Victoria, Charlie and Rebecca were lovable characters, ones that I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know. I loved the Amish house and the calmness of the Amish life. And I appreciate that faith was woven into the life of the characters. Victoria’s journey was very heartwarming, and I can’t wait for book two in this series. Maybe there will be romance in the picture for Victoria?
I received this book from Celebration Lit Blog Tours to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.
The book is very descriptive not only with the characters but also with the different locations of the story. I felt just like I was on the beach with Victoria watching the tide coming in and splashing over my feet.
I would use the authors words to describe Victoria as lonely, frustrated, and full of regret for one decision she made in her young life. We all have to remember with every decision we make there are consequences and that seemed to follow Victoria.
When Victoria makes the decision to move to Florida she never imagined what an adventure her life would become from where she lived to the friends she made. There is one major decision that Victoria makes that will change her life forever.
I highly recommend New Beginnings to all those who enjoy Christian fiction and the Amish genre! I have freely given 5 stars to rate this book.
I did receive a free eBook for my honest review.
It is never easy when you decide to make a big change in your life. For Victoria she wants to start fresh, begin again, perhaps make a better life for herself. Funny how her journey to stay with her best friend and new husband will bring a new beginning to them as well. Will Victoria be happy for them?
When things change and her place to stay needs to be rearranged Victoria finds herself at a home with a wonderful women who has several other women boarding there as well. There will be a very special person who will enter Victoria's life that will impact her in many ways. Who is this person? What secret does she have? Will Victoria find a way to forgive herself from something that she has kept hidden for years?
The book flows at a slow pace at times, but I enjoyed the development of the characters and look forward to the next book in the series. The story gives readers a glimpse into several lives and shows how unforgiveness , illness and changes can affect lives. It is definitely an emotional read that will soften hearts that had become hurt and lead one character to find their way back to Christ. Change is never easy, but sometimes along the way you meet someone who will impact your life and leave you with hope , friendship and A NEW BEGINNING.
I received a copy of this book from the author and Celebrate Lit for an honest review.
Victoria is lonely and frustrated. Victoria leaves Chicago to join her best friend Charlie in Florida, who is a newlywed. It was a sudden decision because she wasn't happy with her life. She saw a future she wanted to change.
Sarasota Florida on the Gulf coast is quite different than life in Chicago. Victoria meets some Amish girls on the beach and connects instantly with Rebecca. How will this decision that Victoria made impact on her life and future? How does it impact on Rebecca. What secrets do they both have. Will Victoria find her way back to Christ and have hope again?
