A high point of this book was the chapter on hosting your own events - as the director of a new project NashvilleGeekLife.com (which focuses on event coverage and community networking for local geek culture), I was feeling a bit overwhelmed on how to go about creating events for the sheer purpose of encouraging people to come out and network with each other, and since reading this book I have not only hosted my own successful events, but have easily encouraged others to, as well.
A++ book for anyone who is looking to get better at networking and building relationships with people, companies and other organizations.
I am impressed by the thorough, comprehensive nature of the book...and then it is chock-filled with very helpful advice, strategies and approaches.
The most sincere complement I can provide is that I will give a copy of this book to our 28 year-old son. That will be for Chris' benefit but also so that the two of us can discuss various opportunities suggested by the book.
Dave seems like a very nice, likeable person...a kindness and goodness pervades the book.
Oh one personal note if you don't mind. I no longer live in Indiana despite what Amazon says.

Dave has put together a very useful book full of tips that can help you build a network in todays digital world. He touches on so many different digital tools that you have at your disposal and usually recommends one specifically that has helped him. I love how he explains a situation that occurred in his life and how his networking skills helped him through it and then explains how you can do the same.
Being a tech enthusiast, I was surprised in how many tools I didn't know about. I think this book can be incredibly useful to someone starting out in their career or someone who is re-entering the workforce. So much has changed in the past 10 years and New Business Networking fills in a lot of the gaps!
Looking forward to see what Dave comes out with!
