About the Author
Patrick Stemp loves words and telling stories. He writes for both adults and children. Creating for children allows him to share fun and funny stories with young people, and to work with an amazing illustrator to share their vision of a world that will excite and entertain. Anita Soelver works full time as a freelance illustrator. She has a strong passion for children related projects, so she was all over it when Patrick suggested that they should team up to create children’s books together.

This is a cute story told from the point of view of a small female who has been something of an only child until her family brings home a younger, but larger cat to be her sibling.
Just as no two humans are precisely identical, each cat has its own personality. With luck, they might find something in common.
This is sure to entertain toddlers, and is worth the price I paid, $2.99.
Stemp teaches children that everyone is different. That even in the most different of souls lives something relatable. He reminds us that patience and perseverance are two of the main ingredients when making (and keeping) a friendship.
Stemp and Soelver are a team to watch out for. I have a feeling many more of their books will be gracing the shelves of children’s rooms across the world in very short order.

A fantastic kid's book. Really! The ideal length for a bedtime story, or for that matter an anytime story. My five year old loved this story and demanded that I "READ IT AGAIN!" twice.
What makes this book effective is the use of both narrative AND illustration. Not only are the illustrations appropriate to what's going on in the narrative (which seems like such a small thing, but there are a lot of books out there where the pictures don't tie to the text on that page), but in one point the illustration *tells* the story in the absence of words. It's near the end, when Cat happens upon the "new cat" (that's to say, a dog) sleeping in her spot. The scene advances the story elegantly and imaginatively.
The text is very well written, as well as being age-appropriate and not at all patronizing or condescending to the young reader (or listener).
Really - this book is a gem. Outstanding work and I hope not the last we'll hear from the team of Stemp and Soelver.
He loved to play with his catnip ball, chasing shadows and eating canned fish for dinner. She also loved to lay in the sun on her favourite place.
One day his family brought another cat into the house. and that Cat did everything wrong for her. He didn't like playing with the catnip all, he liked other things.
Cat was surprized if they could ever be friends and find some common ground. She found it as they laid together in the sun. Cat was very happy so was the new Cat (Dog).
A delightful book for children to learn sharing. Very imaginative with fantastic drawings to the great text.

I can't remember when I have enjoyed any book more than this one. Please -- get it, read it, share it, and love it!
This book is beautifully illustrated and well written and an enjoyable read for children. Children will learn that differences are not important when it comes to friendship. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
I received a copy to facilitate my review. The opinions expressed here are my own.
