About the Author
I was born in 1974 in Bremeton, Washington. I moved to Bellingham, Washington at the age of four and have been here ever since. I love living in the Pacific Northwest about two months out of the year. The other ten months it rains. Constant rain gives me plenty of time to read and write. While I'm hooked on writing horror right now, I enjoy many other genres. My favorite author is Robin Hobb, who also lives in the northwest. She is the award winning Fantasy author of Assassin's Apprentice and several sequels. I have one son. I named him Chance. He is currently six going on fifteen. We are both currently enrolled in school, but I am a few grades ahead of him.

As far as spelling and/or grammatical errors, the story was so engaging to me that if there were any, I was not bothered/did not notice them at all. I was not grading an english term paper, I was reading a very well written compelling book!
A touching story of father and son trying to find their way in the end of days.
The author is a gifted writer and develops his characters well. That is important to me.
His other short stories are very good as well.
I had read this book a few months ago and really enjoyed it.
Since it has not gained many reviewers, I felt I need to write my thoughts about the good book it is.
There are much lesser books in this genre that are getting the readership that this one deserves.
So here I am trying to put one out there for one of the ones I really enjoyed.
Would like to more from this author please.
Thank you for the good reads.
This book is not your typical zombie book. The story is specific and deals with a man and his amazing son and it's extremely fast paced with a high excitement level. I do most of my reading during slow times at my job and it's rare that I will rush home and continue reading a book once my work day is done. But that is exactly what I did with this book.
Robert is a talented writer, twisted and funny. Like Stephen King he comes up with some great ideas, even within the somewhat limited confines of the zombie genre. Unlike Stephen King, he's actually a really good writer too. No pedantic, longwinded prose, no one dimensional characters. He's good and I seek his books out. I'm looking forward to a continuation of this series.
Robert DeCoteau takes speculative fiction and makes it believable. His characters are people you know and the end of the world is outside your door.
