I was sick of grabbing a plastic bag to take my lunch to work. They would tear, handles would break and it just doesn't look very nice. I prefer not carrying around plastic bags. But this bag is pretty nice looking. It took a lot of abuse and there weren't any tears, wear spots or anything along those lines. It fits a decent amount of food in it, I would say about 50% more than a paper bag. You can shove a lot in there if you wanted, but it tends to get a bit deformed looking for the time being. It held up well and even took a turn in the washer and ended up okay. It's a very soft-feeling material and a beautiful color. It was designed well and while I'm sure the materials are great for the environment, I really wish that it had some insulation. I ended up having to buy an insulated lunch box that's ugly and not environmentally friendly so that I could keep my lunch at my desk. But, if you don't need refrigeration or you have easy access to a refrigerator then this is a great option.

It is good for my son, he uses it for school. It is very soft, so it loses its shape once you wash it. I suppose it can be ironed, but I do not iron it. My son is all boy and loves to be rough with his things, so I am glad that stains do not show on it, it is actually a little darker than the picture. It is light so he crumbles it up and puts it in his backpack after and he likes that. He uses stainless steel containers and they fit fine inside. It fit a stainless steel container for a sandwhich, one with fruit and veggies, one small water bottle, and his spork and napkin. The button holds on fine.

This lunchbag does the trick. It's well-made, has a cheery color, quite roomy and surprisingly soft. The magnetic clasp really works well too.

--update--One wash and it's toast. Becomes a wrinkled mess. Pass on this item.

I love the material this is made out of and it would be a great material as a carry-all bag. However, this "lunch bag" has no insulation whatsoever and does nothing to keep food cold. Even with an ice pack my drinks were hot after an hour or so. The shoulder strap is also not big enough. I do like the metal, magnetic closure and the size and flexibility of the bag is adequate. I just think a "lunch bag" should accomplish more than putting your food in a paper sack.

I've been packing my lunch on a daily basis for about 10 years now, so needless to say, I've been through alot of lunch bags. Most lunch bags are square shaped, and take up a great deal of space, even when they're empty. Despite their shape, they often don't hold enough food for a hungry individual like me. The New Wave Enviro Lunch Bag has none of these problems. It is a simply sack that folds up and takes up minimal space when empty, and yet it can hold a TON of food before it is full. It is sturdy, soft, and pleasing to the touch. It is by far the best lunch bag I've ever owned. I don't believe I've ever been quite this excited about a lunch bag before, but I'm proud to own the New Wave Enviro Lunch Bag. Buy this bag...you will not be disppointed.

I hate the smell the plastic lunch bags develop, no matter how often I clean them. This is great, you can throw it in the wash. It insulates somewhat, but is NOT leak proof or even resistant, so package liquids carefully. It's a little on the small side for a lunch and ice pack (teenage kids eat a lot after a long morning), but generally happy with it. Very sturdy straps, snaps and seams.

This bag is made of two layers, and the outer one is very soft and thin, like a t-shirt material. I plan on sewing the two layers together along the fold at the top so that my bag doesn't get saggy and wrinkly looking. The bag is a little prone to wrinkles as the picture suggests, but it's soft and sturdy. Each side says "100% BAMBOO" rather than just bamboo. The strap is just the right length to for me to swing it along as I go about my day at college.

I use wide jars as my food containers and they fit snugly and stack well in there. I put my sandwich shaped container at the bottom to reinforce the square base.

No insulation, but I don't really need it. No easy-wipe lining, but then again I'm an adult.
