Enhance your purchase
With this volume, which contains the only reliable translation of the "Delaware Papers" published to date, we at last have an established text for the early Dutch records pertaining to the administration of the Delaware region. Charles Gehring has truly given Delawareans, and anyone else interested in the South River Dutch, a tremendous gift by his painstaking translatiion of these old Dutch documents into modern English.
It is a phenomenal pleasure to be able read these seventeenth century primary documents. This book stays on my desk at all times.
