A Magical Chanukah in New York by Joanne Dannon features Lisa and Gabe. Lisa is staying with her best friend Charlotte in New York while trying to recover from a failed romance back in Australia. She finds meaning in helping the homeless of New York, finds love with Gabe who is ironically both Jewish and Charlotte's boss and, helps Gabe to heal after the loss of a friend. This is a well flowing fast paced short romance with complex characters, lots of emotions and conflict but ultimately has multiple happy endings.
Christmas in New York by Charmaine Ross features Charlotte and Andrew. Their romance is a co-worker based romance where they both want more than a working relationship but Charmaine doesn't trust that Andrew could actually like and want her. Meanwhile Charlotte is overworked and missing her mother who is recovering from a long battle with cancer. I enjoyed the dedication of both characters to work, friends, and family. I also enjoyed the concerned and caring character of entrepreneur and businessman Andrew. Unfortunately, the editing is lacking.
I already knew the two authors and, once again, they didn't disappoint. The stories are very well written and the characters are very interesting.
A Magical Chanukah in New York:
I really enjoyed Lisa and everything she does to help those in need, but I also loved how Gabe made her see that she needed to take care of herself as well, instead of just focusing on others. At the same time, Lisa was essential for Gabe to understand that he too should move forward with his life and be happy.
Beautiful story and characters.
Christmas in New York:
Poor Charlotte, doing all she could to finish her job and be able to go back to Australia and visit her family, but the more she worked, the more work she came up with. Meanwhile, Andrew did everything to help her with her work and for her to get some rest. The end of this story was amazing and I just loved it.
I highly recommend these books, the characters are captivating and the Christmas mood is perfect for these stories' plots.
I received a copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.
In "A Magical Chanukah in New York", Joanne Dannon weaves a heartwarming story about Lisa and Gabe finding each other and love through the miracle of Chanukah. I have not read much about Chanukah but could identify with this couple and loved their romance.
"Christmas in New York" by Charmaine Ross is a light-hearted and emotional novella about Charlotte and Andrew, family, friendship, and coming to terms with their past. I enjoyed that two workaholics have great chemistry to go beyond the workplace.
I love that both heroines are friends from Australia and the two stories fit together perfectly in a great holiday read. A great collaboration by two talented authors. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Christmas in New York
Andrew and Charlotte are business where they are off limits and Charlotte wants to go home to ask forgiveness and mend her mistake to them but he boss keeps her busy and then Andrew is there and she wants love but she wants to see her parents too oh boy what a mix up great and wonderful love stories.
It is two separate stories written by two different authors but the characters are the same in both books. They are stories are about two friends, Lisa and Charlotte, finding love during the holidays in an unexpected way.
The stories were easy to read and were just adorable. From the beginning to the end, both stories made me smile. There really is something magical about the holidays, especially when it comes to love!
I received an ARC of this delightful book. The choice to read and review was all mine.
