I had high hopes for this unit. It was the perfect size for installation in an unused cabinet. I decided to use the wine cooler as a free standing unit for a month or so before modifying the cabinet for installation. After about 5 weeks, the unit's temperature (both zones) began to fluctuate and would not stabilize, and the compressor became noisier than usual. Luckily, I was within the Amazon return window. I decided to shop elsewhere, and bought a higher-end wine cooler from Avallon. I hope most of you reading this review have better luck with this unit than I did...especially if you are modifying a cabinet for installation.
ADDENDUM: After sending this defective unit back WITHIN THE REQUIRED RETURN WINDOW, AND IN ITS ORIGINAL PACKAGING, Amazon issued me a refund at 80% of my total purchase price! What? There should be no re-stocking fee, as the unit was in original condition and returned within the authorized return window. And the product was defective! I will never recommend this product to anyone, and the return situation I have now further cements my position. Now I will have to do the Kabuki Dance with Amazon to attempt to get my full purchase price returned. What a hassle! WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!!
