And it is a SIDS risk to leave anything, including this pillow, alone with your sleeping baby. Also, do not use in your car seat. It’s not safe to add any padding to your car seat. It’s not crash tested or approved for that.
My baby was born a preemie and they have especially soft skulls. I noticed his head was getting pretty flat and trying to turn his head to rotating sides wasn’t working. I use this when he’s kicking on his back on his playmat, changing table or in his Pack n’ Play and I am keeping a close eye. I have also used when he’s laid back in a stroller. Essentially I try to use it anytime he’s on his back and I am there to watch. I am still turning his head to the side while sleeping and give lots of time upright while being carried. I have found that even with this fairly light use, I have seen a noticeable improvement since using this.
