The Newborn 250 Super Smooth Rod Revolving Frame caulking gun has a steel revolving frame that fits 1/10-gal. cartridges and has an 18:1 thrust ratio for use with acrylic, adhesives, asphalt, butyl, and cement. The revolving frame allows the barrel to rotate for maintaining the same bead orientation when caulking around corners. The smooth pressure rod requires less force and is quieter than a ratchet-style pressure rod. The zinc alloy handle and trigger provide corrosion resistance, and a seal puncture tool and a spout cutter are built into the side of gun for opening cartridges without a knife.
Caulking guns, also called caulk or cartridge guns, dispense a controlled flow of products such as caulk, sealants, and adhesives from a tube or cartridge. A manual caulking gun consists of a frame which holds the tube, a trigger, and a rod which moves forward when the trigger is depressed, dispensing the product. Manual caulking guns have a thrust ratio; the higher the thrust ratio, the easier it is to dispense the caulk, sealant, or adhesive. Air-powered or pneumatic caulking guns also have a frame and a trigger, but are used with an air pressure regulator that pushes the product from the tube using air pressure instead of a rod.
Newborn Brothers Company, Inc. manufactures sealant and adhesive dispensers and accessories. The company was founded in 1974 and is headquartered in Jessup, MD.
The Newborn Brothers 1/10-gallon super smooth rod caulk gun is a professional-grade high-thrust model for use with any sealant or adhesive. The gun features a revolving barrel, a zinc alloy handle, a ladder hook for added ease of use, a thumb release, an all steel construction for added durability, and a thrust ratio of 18:1 for easy extrusion of heavy viscosity caulk and sealant.

At 83 years, I NEED a gun that I can squeeze and get excellent results. Just used it to caulk with a THICK urethane and it worked easily
with great caulking results. NO dripping unless there is some air inside the tube with the caulk. If so, push the thumb release to kill the forward force of the hardened driving rod. Not cheap and NOT a cheaply made product. This will probably last longer than I will.
Your hands and muscles will APPRECIATE using this one and your eyes will like the results. If you want fine results get one. If not get an el cheapo.
My only criticism is some difficulty with preventing excessive drippage. There is a pressure release trigger that will stop the dripping immediately The problem is that is can be hard to use this trigger as you are finishing up a line of caulk. If the release trigger was easier to get to this would be a five star review without a doubt.
Enter this one... Received it and was pretty impressed with the beefy construction. Back on the roof with the henrys again and this thing squirted it out with ease. Not a dripless gun by any means (you have to press the release button each time to get it to stop) but this thing effortlessly pushed the pluger down the tube and the revolving frame is such a handy feature to have to turning the tube around to get different angles instead of having to loosen the plunger to turn the tube. Overall a great caulk gun- wish I had just got a nice one years ago.
