Format: MP3 Music
This album starts out rocking hard with the raucous Cold Hard Cash and Museum, then tones it down for the subtler Remember, which was an FM staple back in the day. There is not a bad song on this album. Dave Carpender's (RIP) guitar work is earthy and tasteful, and his old school guitar solos are amazing without the need for pyrotechnics. The sound is basic and raw, and this band could play these songs live. This is before Gary Phillips joined as a full time keyboard player. The harmonies are great, too. I bought the CD years ago before it went out-of-print, and now all you lucky folks can get these MP3s at a bargain price. Don't hesitate for a second, I think this is GKB's best album ever. Also I highly recommend Again, With The Naked Eye, Glass House Rock, and of course RocKihnRoll.

A friend in my Junior year at Penn State turned me on to Kihn with this album, ages ago, though the memory of that is somewhat hazy for multiple reasons. By far his best, deepest and most thoughtfully put together effort in my opinion. Rest of his stuff is 3 stars (Kihnspiracy) or worse imo. Still have Next of on vinyl which occasionally still gets a spin but now wish it would be remastered for CD reissue, hint, hint, nudge, nudge, since I just looked and saw here that copies of used cds of it are now going for ca. 80 bucks, yikes! So I guess I won't have it for my car player any time soon, sigh.

This is a great album that was overlooked becaused its label could not get it distributed as it should hae been. I did hear it, loved it 28 years ago, and I love it now.
