The truth about startups

I have worked with Luni on two of these startups and have to say, after reading his book it's pretty clear Luni not only knows how to create a startup, he also managed to document the process. He gives consideration to not only the process, but gives the reader some ideas to ponder with respect to the emotional side of starting a business. Having done a startup myself in the 1980's, I have to say it would have been nice to read a book like this before I ventured out on my own. Creating a business is not for the faint of heart - it takes passion, a vision rooted in reality, and a lot of common sense and the ability to listen to others. I know as an entrepreneur that it's hard to imagine being a mere mortal but it's true. You do have limited abilities and limited time to get it all done. By reading "The Next Step:" before moving forward, you will have a better idea of what you're doing, what you might need, and what's in store... I highly recommend you not only read this book, but spend time reading it again before taking the plunge... you'll save yourself a lot of heartaches and headaches.

The part where he goes through the financial model for each one is especially eye-opening since it exposes the underlying assumptions. Look forward to reading the rest of the series.
