I dont typically review products despite being an avid amazon shopper, but i guess i'd provide some feedback since I love reading feedback. I bought the nexus 4 after loosing my Galaxy. The phone is pretty slick, bought it primarily for the stock android OS. I didnt want to have it break on me since I didnt buy it from the carrier and I'm not sure what the status of warranty/repair is for an off contract phone.

I read a decent amount of reviews for cases for it. My primary criteria was to keep it as slim as possible. I didnt want a bulky case, just something that would prevent the screen from cracking if i dropped it. In my entire history of having smartphones, i've never cracked a screen. Once i got the case, i slapped it on the phone. I have the white version of the phone and liked it aesthetically so i got the white case. The phone still looks sexy in it, which is a bonus

Coincidentally, i dropped it on the front screen about a week after having the case. I freaked out at first, but alas, the case did its job and the phone is a-OK.

I dont have any cons. The case was reasonably priced, slim, and does its job. Thats basically it. What else do you need in a case?

I received this case the same day I received my Nexus 5, so I've been using it for about 4 days now. I can say that this case is very nice and minimal and doesn't add much bulk to the phone at all. The materials feel like they are very high quality. The soft touch back feels very nice, its almost feels like the back of the Nexus 5, but slightly softer. The case is very sturdy and fits the phone perfectly. All ports are accessible except the micro-sim port, but that doesn't need to be accessed very often anyways. The cutouts are all perfect and I can have no problem accessing the power or volume rocker. Cutouts for the camera are also perfect, I would also like the add that with the case on the camera lens doesn't protrude out as much, and the case actually protects the camera lens when laying the phone down on a flat surface. As for protection, the back, sides and corners of the phone are well protected. The only parts that are not protected are the screen and top and bottom portions of the phone. So say, if you were to drop your phone face down and the top or bottom front edge of the phone were to hit the ground they they would definitely be damaged. Another con is that since the case fits so snugly taking it off is kind of a challenge. If you're not careful the edges of the case can scratch the corners of the Nexus 5, I would only see this as a problem if you are constantly taking the case on and off of the phone causing the plastic material on the corners of the phone to wear off over time. Also, because the edges of the case that wrap around the front of the phone is so sharp, if you are not careful about taking off the case the sharp edges can slip in between the seam of the back cover of the phone and cause it to lift off. Despite these cons, I am very happy with this case. I'm usually very careful with my devices, so the design of this case of perfect for me since it doesn't add too much bulk and protects areas of the phone that concern me the most. I would recommended this case to a person that wants a simple, minimalist design that offers just enough protection for their new Nexus 5.

Sharp design. Sharp edges.

I bought this case after originally buying the Caseology "Slim" fit case. (Spoiler alert: the Caseology is by no means thin at all.)

So in search of something that would feel less like a brick in my pocket, I decided to try the Ringke Slim. It's a good looking case that is barely noticable. Rearth did a good job following the original contours and designing the cut outs to make it look like a unified part of the phone. The case adds just enough thickness to prevent the camera lens from contacting a table surface when setting it down. The material texture mimics the original soft-touch material of the phone as well.

It may be a first-run manufacturing problem, but the major flaw on this case are the number of sharp edges at every cut out. At every cut-out there seems to be stray plastic from the mold that hardened to sharp edges. The ones near the USB connector are the worst offenders and are still somewhat noticeable even after filing them down.

Overall it's a very nicely designed case. They just need to tighten up the QC before sending them out.

Edit: Just took the case off to try to file down some of the sharp edges. The fitment is so tight that it scuffed a corner coming off. I heard people having the same issue with the Spigen case as well. So be warned, be careful taking off this case!

The BEST Nexus 5 case, period..........

In my humble opinion, after having tried several cases, the Ringke Slim is THE best Nexus 5 case. MY criteria of a good phone case is to protect the phone while not being an obtrusive lug that takes up space in hand or pocket. When I hold the phone in my hand with the Slim, it feels like I'm holding a phone, period. It's that slim and snug. Who cares that it's tough to remove? You don't need to get to the back of the phone for anything, anyway! I have the white case and the black case. I have the two tone Nexus 5 (black & white). While the white Slim may look cooler because it's white, I much prefer the black because the feel is more tactile. The white case is more slick. In addition, it's a neat little visual to see hints of the white part of the phone visible through the cutouts for camera, power, volume, charging port. This is the best phone/case combo I've ever had. I HIGHLY suggest anyone with a Nexus 5 to get a Ringke Slim.

Just remember: the white case is slick; the black is a bit grippier........................

This case has an extremely thin profile. It barely adds any weight or thickness to it. In fact, people don't even realize that I have a case on. The feel of the case is quite nice. It is a smooth plastic. It's not shining like a piano finish or glossy like the Nexus S back. Though, it also doesn't have the same matted, grippy feel as the back of Nexus 7. The feel is just a cool, solid plastic that doesn't feel cheap.

A minor quibble: the way the plastic is moulded, how multiple pieces of plastic are melted together, leaves a faint but definite line along the edges of the case. The smoothness of the case is interrupted by this line. A very fine sand paper would buff it right out, but it's extra work that I never got around to do.

Je viens de le recevoir il y a un jour et je suis vraiment satisfait.
Le nouveau prix à 9€ est super cool, la coque est vraiment mince et ça tombe bien parce que je ne voulais pas que mon portable devient épais avec une coque donc c'est juste parfait. La texture est vraiment lisse, agréable au toucher et les boutons sont tous accessibles facilement ainsi que la prise USB et prise jack. Nachdem die Auswahl von Hardcovern für das Nexus 5 anfangs sehr gering war habe ich mich, ohne groß Nachzudenken, für diese Hülle entschieden und hatte daher keine großen Erwartungen. Für mich zählte Anfangs nur "Hauptsache geschützt", eine bessere kann ich mir später kaufen.

Bis ich die Hülle in den Händen halten konnte hat es fast 3 Wochen gedauert, aber bei mir kam sie direkt aus den USA, das dauert einfach seine Zeit.

Als ich sie dann auf mein Nexus geklippst hatte, war ich begeistert. Die lange Wartezeit hat sich gelohnt. Sie passt einwandfrei. Das Material macht trotz seiner dünne einen sehr stabilen Eindruck und fühlt sich angenehm an. Für mich kam noch hinzu, dass das Nexus 5 für mich jetzt besser in der Hand liegt, weil es ein kleines bisschen dicker wird.

Beide Tasten lassen sich weiterhin ohne Problem bedienen. Der Ausschnitte für die Kamera ist exakt zentriert. Auch die Öffnungen für Kopfhörer und Ladekabel bleiben weiterhin gut erreichbar.

Ich habe die Hülle in Weiß bestellt und nutze Sie nun seit einigen Wochen. Bei normalem Gebrauch hat sie ein paar feine Kratzer bekommen, aber eine Verfärbung kann ich an keiner Stelle finden.

Das einzige negative sind die anfangs etwas scharfen Kanten. Die nutzen sich aber nach einiger Zeit ab.

Fazit: Eine sehr gut verarbeitete Hülle, für einen angemessenen Preis, an der man auch nach Wochen seine Freude hat. Eine andere brauche ich mir jetzt nicht mehr bestellen.
