But the main problem is that this leaks from the hose connection up at the holder end. And it isn't leaking from the threads, but from where the threaded section is attached to the hose.
Also did not care for the shape of the cradle for the faucet - it isn't circular, so you can't point the head away by rotating the faucet in the cradle. I personally find that to be my favored way of turning the water away from the shower doorway while getting into the shower, so as not to get the outer bathroom wet. Yes, you can rotate the entire cradle to change the angle but it is tight and not easy to do.
On the plus side, the hose is nice and flexible (unlike the Waterpik mentioned above), and this item does not feel 'cheap'.
That being said, when I buy, I buy a few because they don't tend to last long. The part that spins and changes from spray to massage is very flimsy and overtime tends to fail. The plastic just doesn't hold up. Either from wear or from being dropped I can't say. Actually, looking at the most recent one I installed it appears that the unit has been redesigned as that ring I mentioned no longer appears to be there at all. Hopefully that corrects the issue. Time will tell. On a build quality not they have also redesigned the hose. You know when you buy cheap shower heads like this the hose tends to be plastic and doesn't bend well so it doesn't hang properly, well with the recent design change the Niagara 1.5 has redesigned the hose for the better. Its appears to be properly linked like the expensive units and as a result the hose hangs properly. Not like the plastic jobs that retain the bends that they got when packaged.
Luckily at $15 bucks you can afford to pick up a second as a backup. Highly recommended as a water saver, but at $15 bucks don't expect miracles in the build quality category.
