Nice and Blue part. 2:
1) At times, Aaron (singer) in correlation to the bass line and drums is making short truncated words to create a rhymatic blend. (hard to notice at first; really AWESOME once you notice)
2) Bass line, in-itself, heightens the song by driving the song...that's typically heard in reggae and stuff--real awesome technique to add this deep gravity to the song but not some cheesy gloominess.
3) Backup vocals continously throughout the song complete the task of thickening the movement of the song, meaning each progression of the song becomes more dense and more rich...yet sometimes excueted with total subtlety.
4) The Guitar riffs are isolated in this echoing siren wail which yields two separate identities: rhythm and ambience in the synthesis of the song.
5) LYRICS--'nuff said.
