A Welshman by birth and a New Zealander since 2007, Nigel has been slowly transitioning into an American since 2012. An advocate of two wheels since he could walk, he has been riding motorcycles all his life and only learned to drive a car after a motorcycle accident prevented him from riding for a while. His adventures and mishaps on two wheels have shaped his life and he uses his motorcycles as his therapist. His first book 'One Down Four Up' is a life story of his riding exploits, his resilience to get back in the saddle and some insights into why people ride.

If you understand the meaning of the phrase 'One Down, Four Up', this book has been written with you in mind. The true-life stories include his numerous hospital sleepovers from his motorcycling mishaps and his reflective thoughts on the impact motorcycling has had on both his physical and mental wellbeing. Even if you don't like motorcycles, this book is a joy to read. It is a light-hearted view on life that uses motorcycles either as a lead into a life story or just as a backdrop to a funny tale.
