Where to begin!!! This.....THIS book!!! Oh my gosh!! Just,

"Whiskey and Lola," he said against her skin. "My new favorite flavor."

So, after leaving off Night Fever with a smile.....but a need for more, I ended this book with a shouting match with a friend. All on MY end, of course. This book left me shaking!!! The turmoil, the angst, the heartbreaking ending that left me needing MORE. I need more. I want answers, I need answers....I require answers to function!!!

A night like the one they'd had could never be duplicated. It also couldn't be forgotten.

I love angst.
I love alphas.
I love forbidden love.

This book had all of this. It had what I needed and wanted and I want MORE of it. Jessica really did a good job in drawing me into the passion that was raging between Beau and Lola....such a gooood job. I shake my head because, while reading a scene between Lola and Beau that was so volatile and so anger-soaked and so heartbreaking, I was left with stuttered breath. My jaw slack, my pulse racing and my heart breaking....this one left me aching for more.

"Which one of us are you fighting, Lola?" he asked against her mouth.
"Me or you?"

Jessica, bravo. What can I do you love someone, then hate them....then fall deeper in love and then get so angry??? All at something (or a situation) that ultimately was out of their control....? Waiting for Book #3, Night Moves, is thankfully only a week away. This was so good. So. Good.

Night Call is book 2 in the Night Fever Serial. I have now finished the entire serial and have told all my friends how much I loved it. Night Fever (Book 1) had some elements of the story I was on the fence about (I’m not always a fan of the controlling man) and I knew going in that these were books that would be out of the box for me and I am so glad I took the chance on them.

Night Call deserves more than 5 stars. Jessica did a supreme job of writing a story that kept you wanting more. The characters were relatable even in a story of extremes. Lola was easy to route for and one fierce lady.

It’s an edgy story with no clear black and white storylines, decisions, morals, or question of character. Forget the saying of there is a whole lot of grey. There was grey, green, fuchsia…a whole rainbow between that black and white. The indecent proposal element, decisions made by characters, and the effects within people of excess and absence of money definitely makes me question what I knew.

The Night Fever Serial Makes you think about what you would do when faced with extreme decisions and how you would handle the way the people in your life also handle those decisions. Through out reading you question how you feel about the decisions the characters make. Whether you agree with their choices it definitely gets your thoughts stirring. I have found myself in conversations about how I feel about the storyline and plot each and every time I have recommended these books to a friend.

The entire serial but for me, especially Night Call was filled with secrets and shockers. UNDERSTATEMENT of the year! I think my jaw fell wide open and stayed hanging there for the entire last chapter of Night Call.

4.5 stars. Just because Lola and Johnny now have money doesn't mean they have everything. For someone who has always been supportive on the side to Johnny, Lola takes charge this time, especially after what she went through to get the cash. It becomes increasingly apparent that not only is the money not enough, but neither is their current relationship that is mostly surrounding Johnny's hopes and dreams.

Lola takes Beau up on his offer, same as before, for a second night. I could see the struggle within Lola. She's an independent thinker who does things by her own free will, but has trouble admitting to certain truths about this scenario. Once Lola admits to what she's known all along, it liberates her.

I really fell for Beau, alongside Lola, in the first installment and throughout this story until the end. How he feels about her seemed so obvious to me, even without the words, especially after the scene at the gas station. Wow, Beau really knows how to hook, line and sinker so the parting scene between he and Lola was like a punch to the gut - it made me question if I really interpreted Beau's behavior accurately - but I admired Lola for keeping her head up. I definitely have to see where this story goes.

I can't seem to process what just happened between Beau and Lola--one moment they were making wild, passionate love, next she's going to leave Johnny for him, then--WHAM! It got unbelievably crazy it felt like I got hit by a four wheeler truck. Gosh almighty, it totally blindsided me! What the phok is Beau thinking? I was so in love with him then he turns around and delivered a shocker that knocked me out of breath!

Lola was devastated and bewildered, couldn't believe all is real and not just a dream, a nightmare. After going through the scariest life altering experience with Beau, where they could both have lost their life, Lola realized she's fallen hopelessly in love with Beau. The morning after their incredibly hot night together and the night to remember, the morning after, that can never be forgotten and will alter Lola's life forever. Blinded by her love and lust, Lola set out to do exactly what Beau asked, leave Johnny and come to him. As she was about to use Beau's cell phone to call Johnny, a text from Beau's "sister", Bridgette, popped on the screen, so cryptic and foreboding that Lola felt her blood run cold. The confrontation ensued, truth revealed, secrets so devastating it's breathtaking. It literally took my breath away. Beau, so beautiful, is in truth a monster. Lola thought he might as well have slapped her, she almost wished he had, because at least she'd be able to feel her pain in a physical way. Instead of as a gaping hole in her heart. But she wasn't finished with Beau, not by a long shot, he'd made mistakes thinking she wasn't paying attention. He'd committed the greatest crime there was--he'd played with love. And nobody should ever be able to get away with that. No, she wasn't finished with Beau, she would break him too.
