I have now used this tent for a total of 8 nights of outdoor camping and 1 night of indoor "quarantine" camping. Now that I've had some time in the tent, I feel like I have a pretty good handle on the pros and cons of the single layer tent.

Pros:
--Great price
--Easy set up and takedown
--Waterproof on the outside (I had one night of heavy rain and wind and my tent didn't leak!)
--Spacious for one person plus a ton of gear
--Huge door
--Ability to take small rain fly off to vent the tent better
--Nice color; I've gotten so many compliments on my little blue tent
--Lightweight and very packable.

Cons:
--The poles are light but I question the quality for longterm use. I am gentle with them and haven't had any issues yet but I predict that they will be the first things that need to be replaced
--I wish this tent had clips instead of feeding the poles through the sleeves. It's not particularly hard to shove them through but it can be frustrating when the sleeve gets caught on the pole.
--The tent does not come with a footprint and it is hard to find one that fits. Night Cat says a footprint is not necessary but I'd be reluctant to go without.
--You will need to vent this tent to avoid condensation when it's cold. I found that staking out the flap of the door and taking off the rain fly on a night without rain did the trick.
--Stakes are a bit flimsy so I replaced those with some better stakes from REI

Overall, I love this tent. I'm not an experienced camper and I'm pleased by this choice for my first tent. I hope to get much more use out of it while trying to stay outdoors and away from people during the pandemic!

Did not have rain so unsure how dry it will Stay. I was a little upset because The first night I used of the metal rings the poles hook into came off so I had to use stakes for that one side. Otherwise protective lightweight and comfortable!!

A nice tent with good room. The bottom outside flap needs Velcro to hold it in place as the cold air comes in through there.

On the outside of the tent is a picture of a cat and written Night Cat. My friends made the comment that my tent was a Cat House. I cannot see this tent for a male with that printed on it. I did take a black permanent marker and black out the writing and cat. Looks better, but it is still noticeable.

Over all it is a nice tent that I enjoyed sleeping in. I can sit up in it without touching my head on the top. It takes room to set up because the poles on tension cables are long. It does not take up much room when packaged and is really light weight.

This tent is decently light weight for backpacking and is very easy to put together. A single person can pop this tent up easily within 2 minutes or so. The material seems pretty durable, and it seems like it would hold up to rain decently, but I luckily haven’t encountered rain while sleeping in it yet. The tent will drip water if you have anything touching the walls, so be careful how much you store around you while you sleep as it is a pretty small tent. Overall, this did well on the trail for me, and I recommend it for a basic one person tent.

Very lightweight, it fits in my camping backpack along with all my other gear. Assembles very easily and there's enough room for a 75" x 33" sleeping bag plus a backpack, your footwear and a few other items. No standing room, getting in and out of it can be a bit of a challenge if you're not very flexible. Don't expect to be able to spend the day in it if it's raining. It keeps the rain out, had it out on the west coast of Vancouver Island for a few days, it rained and was windy most of the time, no water ever got in, though as it to be expected, lots of condensation inside when you're sleeping because this is a single-layer tent. Quick and easy to take down and fold. Overall: it does the job.

Set it up in my apartment to see what it's like. Haven't used it outdoors yet. First impressions. You get what you pay for. The zipper on the outter fly immediately came off of one side... I had barely touched it.... BUT after I fought with it I got it back on track. One of the poles also broke... all I did was tug a little on it as I was pulling out the pole to disassemble it. I will be contacting the company re: this..... I do like this little tent inspite of its weak first impression. Its very compact and light weight. The logo is fun. The color is bright. I think it will do just fine for what I plan to do with it which is the occasional over night fair weather hike or pack it into the jetski for some beach camping in the summer. I'm 5"9 and the BF is 6"3. There won't be much space for gear with the 2 of us but we will fit (somewhat snuggly) with some room at our feet.

Absolutely AMAZING customer service. I emailed the company last night at approximately 1030pm re: the broken poles. Received a VERY speedy reply. They said they would send me replacements. The replacement poles were delivered before noon. Very impressed. :D

Great little tent overall, however does need more heavy duty pegs. Just came back from a 3 day camping trip in the mountains. Was pretty warm first night around 16-18 C . Around 24 C in the morning with humidity. In the morning there was some condensation on the tent walls ( which is to be expected from a single wall tent). Was deffinately warm and stuffy inside , opening a door flap helped a bit and dried off the tent super quick. Tent was under direct sunlight so it really didnt stand a chance at cooling off drastically. Second night absolutely insane storm hit with some rain and very strong wind gusts . Tent was parked on the slope, and I pinned it to a hard rocky terrain. It felt like I would fly away a few times. I believe if I used pegs that tent comes with tent would've taken off , those were coming right out of the ground when I used them setting up, so I had to use extra pegs I had with me , they are thicker and screw into the geound.
I was worried that rain fly is really small and wouldn't protect much, but it held up surprisingly good. Did not come off, did not let any rain through. Tent did not leak at all, even when I touched walls. Considering storm went on from 7 pm untill about 5 am I find it shows durability.

Yes do buy. For the price REALLY good value. Get 6-8 extra heavy duty pegs and you are good to go. Very roomy, set up takes 5 minutes.
