About the Author

Violet Haze is a big fan of romance -- writing and reading. The autistic mother of one (she was diagnosed with Aspergers at age 27), she currently spends her days writing, reading, procrastinating, binging on Netflix, surfing the internet, and protecting her son from himself as he pretends he is a superhero.

The "A Woman's Affair" serial consists of Secrets (out now), Suspicions (Aug. 18th), and Sacrifices (Sept 17th). Her complete serials, as of July 2015, include: Mate, Hungry Heart, Loving My Angel, and Luna (with a special holiday novella arriving Nov 17th, 2015). Refuge may be read as a standalone, and is a 100-page novella.

She also wrote under C.S. Janey, but her books Surrender To You and Sugar Baby Lies, have been rebranded under Violet Haze as well.

This story is additive-addictive-addictive!
Luna needs love and the touch of a man, but she will only sleep with a man
once, only once. Until she meets a very special man that is everything she wants.
But she feels like she needs to follow her rules, she can avoid all feelings this way, but
What if this one time she changes the rules? This is defiantly an adult fantasy and has the hot scenes to prove it. I can’t wait for more!!! 5 Stars in my book!!!

This series must be read in order. This is the first book.

This book was definitely a novella but was totally worth the read! The main character is witty and laughs as much at herself as she does at the world around her. She has a unique perspective on life and owns her own choices. I found her both amusing and inspiring!

If you are looking for some tame romance this book is NOT for you! This book can only be described as erotica even though it has a fair dash of humor. I really enjoyed the characters and can not wait to see what they will get up to next in What He Desires (Luna Book 2)!

***This series is definitely suitable for adult readers only

Wow! Let me start off by saying this is not my typical genre but I have decided to expand my horizons and when I came across this one it sounded intriguing. With that out of the way let me just say, I Floved it! We start off meeting Luna, who's number one rule when it comes to men is that they can only call her Luna for the night. One night of pleasure is all she gives and takes from them. She feeds off of them, her lust controlling her needs. Until one chance meeting after a night out has her questioning feelings she has never had the pleasure of feeling. After seeing how their lives intertwine, you come to wonder more about this mysterious man that is holding her interest. Can she keep her secrets from him? Is he hiding some of his own? This is a shorter read but had plenty of detail and twists to keep you guessing. I can't wait to find out what happens next!!

Though, it's a short story, the author has a way with words that draws you into her book. I thought the love scenes were done in "good taste". LOL!! The storyline is entertaining. I have never read anything by this author, so I gave it a shot. I'm glad I did. This story will capture your imagination and will leave you wanting more. Luna (aka Jocelyn) likes sex, but has one rule: Only one time. By day, she is the owner of a diner. She meets a guy that has become a regular in her diner while in her Luna persona and agrees to have dinner with him (she is in disguise as Luna). Dessert is hot sex!!! LOL!!! She leaves in a hurry because she frightened that she is thinking about seeing him again. Her business is in the black and the bank is calling for the payoff. She is so petrified that she is going to lose it. Tobias (regular guy in diner) finds her in her office upset and gets her to tell him what is wrong. He invites her to his house to discuss her business. After looking at the paperwork, he then throws a bomb at her. He knows who she is. He thinks that he has won, but she smiles and thinks "Let the game begin". The ending leaves you hanging. I'll read more just to see how explicit the sex scenes get. Cheers!!

So many of our lives are different as day and night. Some of us are one way for work one way for fun. Throw all of that in the blender and pour yourself a drink and taste the magic. That is who you are, sometimes we need to follow in another's steps to find our own way, grab a copy of this thrilling tale filled with that angst, desire, and dreams wrapped into one in this first novella with more to come.

I really like where Violet Haze is going with the plot, but the story is lacking substance. I love reading erotica and novels with pleasure elements and unfortunately "For the Night (Luna, #1)" does not excite me like some others I've read. That does not mean there isn't plenty of potential.

The strengths of Luna as a character are that she is honest about her sexual appetite and lifestyle with no shame or remorse and that she is also a business woman, who can be professional and educated. She shows great independence and self confidence which is something a lot of women are afraid to portray so openly in sexual instances. I did find her a little too quick to the dramatic, however, with her constant shock, and surprise, as well as her quick dramatic exit after her encounter with Tobias as Luna. I understand Haze is trying to portray how flustered she is by Tobias as opposed to any other man, but it comes across as insincere.

I love love LOVE Tobias as the male lead--also like how he's important enough to get a name mention, a great touch and indication that he is sticking around and will change Jocelyn's mindset. Great name as well. He seems to flow the best as a character in his descriptions, mannerisms and speech. I am able to see his desire for Jocelyn/Luna without having to be told. I like the subtle hints that he was professional as well. The only thing that turned me off was his use of c*nt during his dirty talk. It just didn't fit in the and also has such negative connotation that it ruins the fluid it and mood.

The ELEVATOR SCENE!!!! Need I say more?! WHOOO, needed a cigarette and a drink after that.

The twist at the end is GREAT!!!! I knew he had a thing for her but did not expect that turn. So EXCELLENT job there.
