Let me start off by saying that I bought the Nightlock* because they were in stock and shipped to me VERY quickly, however my first choice would have been OnGard* as they have factual demonstrations and ISO documentation on the pounds of force their product can withstand. HOWEVER I contacted them and they are out of stock and will be for the next three months as of late August 2014. Nightlock claims to have tested their product and I seen the owner comment stating it withstood over 1900lbs of force, which is not documented or stated on the website. So I absolutely believe it is an inflated number as OnGard has a 1700+ lab tested rating, and its design is much sturdier. Nonetheless Nightlock seems to be a decent product so please read this review.
That being said I wanted some security now because anything could happen in those 3 months. So I bought 2 of the brass coated Nightlocks from Ebay from the company who sells blemished ones for 31$ instead of 36$. The blemishes are in the finish and not the actual product and really very minor so I would suggest these if you want to save some money (mine did come in the box with everything). You probably wont even see them in the pictures I upload. So again, they do have this option on ebay and shipping is cheaper when you buy more than 1.
I feel more confident about this product after a couple changes to the installation, that I URGE you to consider when you install. My install process took a few more hours, but for the added security it is worth every second. This install tip is mainly for those who have a plywood floor base (not concrete slab homes).

However, after installing, I went outside, slid a hacksaw blade under the chosen door, and quickly and easily slid the upper plate right out of the base plate. I then drilled a 3/8" hole 1 1/2" above the middle screw on the base plate (towards the Nightlock logo).
I inserted a 1/4" X 2" solid pin - easily removable - into the hole. The Nightlock is now secure both front-to-back, and side-to-side.
Perhaps this simple idea will help somebody else out.
