My wife and I wanted a workout game, and we picked Nike+ Kinect Training. Having completed the initial test and a couple workouts each, I can say this is a real workout. Like a "wear gym clothes and good shoes, and have some water handy" workout (unlike Kinect Sports, which is more fun and games than workout). The fact that the game starts with a test and actually tailors the workout for you is pretty cool, and seems to be accurate. The sessions are about 30 minutes, and comprise 10 or so warm up activities, 15 or so main activities, and then 2 more cool down activities. You also have the option of extending the session or going to challenges at the end.
A couple gripes: The metric they use to measure overall health and athleticism seems arbitrary, especially when they put up the trainer's numbers (which seem low) compared to mine (which I think are too high). The tracking is pretty good, but not perfect. There have been a few instances where "TRACKING OFF" has been essential (Tip: just say Tracking Off; the Kinect is listening). The menus work alright, but the voice commands sometimes require repeating two or three times. This may be the Kinect more than it is the game. And this might just be the sets I've seen so far, but there's a tenancy to have a bunch of similar muscle group things consecutively; I would think moving around more may actually produce better results, but I'm not an expert.
All in all, seems solid so far. Guess I'll have to see what the results are after the full 4 weeks.
The game is pretty fun to play, I've been playing all afternoon.
Some people have said that you need a huge playing area or completely empty living room, I would agree however whenever I play kinect in general I move all of the furniture out of the way so that I have roughly between 8-10 square feet of playing space.
This game is not intended for people looking to get in shape or lose weight. It is a training game. When you put the disc in to play for the first time it says it is for athletes and is designed to build and or tone, help lose fat (that you may have put on during the off season), or help you train for your sport.
Now I do believe that whoever plays this game will get a workout designed for them, and if they really do want to reach their goal they will need to push themselves and work to get what they want, so no it's not easy.
Game controls are really easy to work too, all you do is raise your arm straight out until the game recognises it and then select your option and swipe your arm.
I've only been playing this game for a day so I can not comment about the workout plans, however they seem pretty nice and everything is not consistent which is great for working out.

The game itself is decent, it is definitely for someone who probably does not normally work out at a gym and this is the only exercise they get. I bought this game to supplement the days I did not feel like driving to the gym, and I find the works out not normally high enough intensity or challenging enough for me. It seems more that it is made for someone who is not in great physical shape, where as I am in great physical shape since I work out 6 days a week. This is good if you wanted a light day of working out with nothing too heavy.
Some of the time, the Kinect will not recognize that you are doing the exercise correctly and that is probably just a fault with the hardware of the Kinect. Otherwise this is a decent game that I may recommend for the right price, it does what is advertised and gives you a work out.
1. I love that it tests your fitness level every 30 days and adjusts your program and tracks your progress. Awesome.
2. It gets consistently more difficult and is always a challenging, butt-kicking workout. I look and feel better after using it for 2 months.
The negative: I don't know if it is the kinect or the game, but it is super glitchy. Some of the exercises simply will not track properly or will do so rarely, including the single leg Romanian dead lift and pike push-up (on the push-up it keeps telling me my head is not in line, and won't count reps until it thinks it is, which is never... Is my head that important to a push-up?!) I have a small to average size living room and there is just barely not enough room; I have to do most moves pressed up against my couch.
My final complaint is that as usual, Microsoft is making everything bad if they think they can make a buck; you can't connect to your existing Nike+ account without Xbox Live, which is an additional $60 per year. And there will be no updates to fix the glitchy moves in the program because MIcrosoft will no longer support 360 now that the new, privacy invading, XBox is out.
The game is pretty awesome. It has definitely improved my fitness. Don't buy an XBox if you haven't already, and don't pay too much for the game so the glitches are less annoying, since they're never going to be patched.

I'm a slim person with a little bit of a belly, and I still lost 14 pounds after a month with just 30 minutes every other day.
Pros
+ This thing does an amazing job of actually tracking your body movements to ensure correct positioning. For example, when you're doing squats, it'll make sure you're knees are positioned correctly and that your back is straight. There isn't a single exercise in Fitness Evolved that does this.
+ This is sets up a series of exercises for you to follow, rather than constantly picking your own. With Fitness Evolved, after a few minutes of an exercise, I'd need to select something else and wait for the very long loading times. Fitness Evolved is great when competing against my wife in an exercise, or if I want to do a quick workout in the early morning before heading to work, but Nike+ is like having a personal trainer at the gym.
Cons
- You can skip an exercise from your workout plan, but you have to skip it manually during every singly workout. For example, if you can't do squats for whatever reason, you can skip over it, but the game doesn't learn that you don't want to do squats. It doesn't replace it with another exercise. This can get a bit annoying, having to grab the controller each day to manually skip over an exercise.
- You can't select an individual exercise to do. The game sets up a 20-30 minute workout for you, which you do once per day. Your only other option is pretty much selecting a 5-minute quick workout. You don't get to pick which exercise (e.g. push ups, sit-ups, etc); the game picks a set of exercises for you.
This game is the only reason I still keep my Xbox 360 around. Kinect games aren't compatible with the Xbox One, so this game keeps my 360 on the shelf.

I just finished my first week and I have improved tremendously. I was always good with cardio as I have been running regularly and do Zumba occasionally but when it comes to planks and push ups and anything to do with core strength I usually avoid lol. I hate push ups with a passion.
N e who, day 1 I was doing 3-4 (modified) push up before I fell flat on my belly. On day 6 of this program I am doing 15 reps. (mind you I took a break at rep #8 but still it is a huge improvement for someone like me who avoided push up and planks all her life).
As a jogger I never cared for strength training but I feel after 1 week with Nike + Kinect I am a better runner, my cadence is faster as if I have a faster muscle response in the lower legs. My legs feel stronger overall thanks to 15 reps of squats and lunges.
Now I know why people promote cross training.
Will finish up the program and report back.
Remember, you get what you put in. This game will usually give you 1 drill and ask if you want to do more. I usually say yes and take on more, the more you put in the sooner you'll see the results. And this is as long your family doesn't mind seeing you angry, yelling at the t.v. and crying because your stomach muscles are on fire during the 'dead bug' workout (oh dead bug, I hate you too). But it is all worth it. I always feel alive after each workout.
I am taking a break from Zumba and the boring treadmill and will focus on my training with Nike + Kinect.
I rate this game overall 5 stars. I give it 1 star for the <fun> aspect because for me, it is no fun at all. It's all business which is not a bad thing.
If you're looking for fun, go with Zumba or Dance central or whatever other dance games out there.
