5.0 out of 5 stars I had wanted a camera like this for years
By gkphillips on October 5, 2017
I had wanted a camera like this for years. When I was younger I had a Pentax K-1000, I took it with me everywhere; consequently it broke after years of use, being dropped, and rolls and rolls of film. At the time DSLRs were in the unaffordable realm— one that would do what I wanted anyway. While still not cheap, it’s well worth it.
I knew that the D5300 was going be a excellent camera. Nikon has the best optics. (You’ll read that a lot if you do your homework.) I was also looking at one of their fully automated cameras, but I wanted the freedom, and creative control of the manual options on the D5300.
Since I’ve received the camera, I’ve taken about 2000 pictures. The colors are crisp; the black and white photos are sharp, and with the correct settings contrasty and haunting.
The only thing that I’ve found that I would’ve bought other than this, would be the 7500 at almost ~$1400, and out of range. I take my 5300 everyday, I love what I can do with it. It’s brought me back something I missed.
