From short stories to novels, there are many types of books that one can write without feeling overwhelmed with fear. Steve gives great insights on how most authors may feel and the reader is not alone in self-doubting what they write.
"Writers write. Authors get paid to write better. Rich authors get paid to write better than that. Wealthy authors get got that way by marketing." - Steve Windsor, Authorphobia: The Basics
For many authors, making passive income is a huge reason to write. Steve encourages the reader to follow whatever encouragement they get and work on improving their writing. Through improvements come more readers and more money. I think the sound of that!
After two years of not wanting to type anything being unmotivated. Feeling extra sucky, this book has DONE IT. It has gotten me over my fear and my unwillingness to put my foot down and
telling that fear to suck it. All of this just happened within the last past 4 hours.
I've never read any of your other books Mr.Windsor but after this one I'm pretty much sold on buying the rest of your series! I'm only 22 and I've gotta lot of years to suck at this thing but I want to start sucking now rather than later! Thanks a lot!
This book reminds the young writer that it's ok to suck because we all do at first, but he almost turns "sucking" into a term of endearment. I didn't think that was possible, but he did it. Any writer would do himself a favor by reading this book, especially if there is any semblance of being discouraged.
Another great entry in this series.
