I will start with nineteen of course since it was first. It wasn't really angsty it didn't leave me at the edge twittering but it was so good. I honestly think I have read it before but that's ok because if I did I got a refresher course. Nineteen seemed familiar but twenty one didn't so maybe I read the first and was waiting for the second book but whatever I'm glad I got them and read them. Twenty one was even better than nineteen. All of the characters I love. Liv cracks me up and her and Nate are perfect. H cracked me up til and I think he should have his own book. Emma aka Jules was amazing. She's been put through the ringer more times than any person should but she still comes out swinging. She is strong and loving. Jake can piss you off but I promise you will love him. There isn't a cliffhanger which is awesome and yes jake is a possessive alpha male which I love and there is a beautiful HEA. Just perfection!'
I loved absolutely everything about this book!
E.S. Carter has a way of subtly bringing you into the world of her characters. And how I love her characters! Especially the irascible Jake! I love me a good manwhore and Jake is manwhore perfection. There's something extra satisfying about watching a manwhore's world being rocked and watching his heart tumble and roll.
I also loved Emma. In an increasingly cookie-cutter romance genre where so many leading female characters are one dimensional I found Emma to be refreshingly multi-faceted.
There's something very real about E.S. Carter's characters and I found myself easily identifying with them. I loved how the story stayed true to the characters and didn't descend into all too familiar insta-love territory.
As I said in the beginning - there isn't anything I didn't love about this book - even though the end had my jaw on the floor! Thank goodness I could skip right along to the next book in the series - Twenty-one.
There was about twenty one seconds between me finishing Nineteen and starting Twenty One! Thank goodness, after THAT ending in Nineteen, I could just pick up Twenty One and find out what happens next.
Twenty One is the continuation of Jake and Emma's love story and of course the challenges they continue to face. I particularly liked the further development of the secondary characters and especially the adorable Harry.
There's a warmth and depth to this story that I loved - how I'd love to be invited to one of the big Fox Family gatherings! E.S. Carter is a writer with a gift for infusing her stories with an emotional depth that will forever leave a mark on your heart.
