There is alot I like about this food processor: The different speed options and the variety of blades are wonderful. The food chute is big enough to get medium-large pieces of food thru it, and narrow enough that the food doesn't flop all around. It's got a very powerful little engine and it's not too loud. The space between the shredding disc and the top is minimal, so food doesn't get caught up in the lid. The 9 cup capacity is generous and the locking lid and seal works flawlessly. There is a cord keeper that actually works.A few things that bug me: the blades don't go quite to the edge of processor so it takes longer to reach a "puree" than any other unit I've used. The double blades make it impossible to scrape sides down completely unless you use a super long utensil, without the risk of slicing open your hand. The unit, when disassembled, does not nest into itself very well, making storing this unit harder. I have to store the base and top separate, taking up precious kitchen cabinet space. (Unless you can store it fully assembled, in a ready-to-use position. But, the distance between my cabinet shelves make this option impossible for me) The suction cups at the bottom are a total nightmare. They don't really hold the unit down like you want, but "suck" just enough to make it irritating to move the unit once finished AND to get unit out from cabinet. I plan on cutting mine off.I made pesto, and pureed soup with the metal blade, and pasta dough with plastic blade. I shredded a pound of cheese with this shredding disc. All came out perfectly, though it took a little longer than my old unit. The bottom spinner is fixed into the basket and can not dissemble to clean. The double metal blade is scary to clean. You can't get your hand on it safely very easily. You can see from my batch of pesto, how time-wise the puree option works. Zero engine smell, and no engine whine. Overall, I'm happy with this and won't look to replace it anytime soon. It seems like a little powerhouse of a unit. The things that bug me aren't a deal breaker, but they bug me nonetheless.
