#1. Ease of use. Two dials, one button.
The settings are so easy to understand. Stovetop, oven, slow cook, buffet warmer all in one unit. It is actually 4 in 1.
#2. All in one cooking. You don't need multiple pots and pans. Brown the meat using the stovetop setting, turn to oven at desired temperature, throw in dry pasta/rice, water/stock, seasonings, give it a stir and pop the lid on it. Set your timer to desired time and sit down to watch The Brady Bunch. (The browning of meat and all the other stuff was just a sample of what I recently did. Obviously your recipes will vary.)
#3. Easy to clean. The non-stick surface truly is non-stick. Hot water, a little Dawn and a sponge. Done!
#4. You can cook almost anything. Soups, stews, ribs, pasta and sauce, pot roast, roast chicken, brownies, cake, turnovers, paella, gumbo, roast turkey, lasagna, kielbasa and sauerkraut........ The list goes on.
Pros: All of the above.
Cons: I didn't buy this thing sooner.
Five out of five thumbs for this product.
8/4/16 Up date, to the credit of Ninja, they have offered me a replacement at no cost and are sending me a shipping label to cover the cost of return shipping. I will be weary of setting the slow cooker and walking off and leaving it, time will tell.
After preheating it and adding food, it appeared to be working as expected. When I returned a few hours later to check it, the food was cold. I assumed it was user error so I read the instruction book, double checked the settings, and tried it again experiencing the same result. After that, monitored and watched it closely. It definitely would randomly come on and shut off.
I wanted to like it so my first thought was to exchange it for another. I contacted customer service about the issues. It took major effort to reach someone. I made many attempts and was placed on hold for extended periods. After finally speaking with a representative, I wasn't confident with the company and was reluctant to trust they would back the product in the event an issue occurred with the replacement unit. She stated that in the event there was an issue with the replacement unit, I would have to send it to China and pay for shipping both ways. So, I returned the defective unit for a refund.
