Works with the wiiU GameCube controller adapter for smash bros 4 even though it says its doesn’t work with the GameCube controller adapter on the details of this product.

It probably said that because the GameCube controller adapter itself doesn’t work for virtual console
And they probably don’t want anyone buying it for the virtual console on Wii U and being disappointed. But looks like this works with anything with a GameCube controller port.

Works with almost any n64 controller I tried a few after market brands all worked
