Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition is now available for systems in the Nintendo 3DS family! The game remains true to the original, complete with monochromatic pixel art and 4-bit background music, so you can feel as though you’re experiencing the game just as it was back then!
This title is compatible with wireless communication for the first time ever. In the days of the Game Boy, players had to use a Link Cable to connect with friends, but this game uses the Nintendo 3DS system’s wireless capabilities to allow you to trade and battle Pokémon in just the same way. Pokémon Bank is also now compatible with Pokémon Yellow, allowing you to transfer the Pokémon you’ve caught to the upcoming Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon video games.
Using Pokémon Bank, you'll be able to transfer Pokémon you've caught in the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console versions of Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow into your copy of Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon. Pokémon from Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X, and Pokémon Y can also be brought into Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon in the same way.

I was hoping to receive a US Version of this New 3ds XL, but upon reading other reviews I prepared myself to possibly receive the U.A.E Version ( Which I did :/ Hence the 3 stars ) They also try to hide the fact that it is a U.A.E system with the round blue stickers (I also show a picture after the sticker was removed) . It really makes me mad that they are allowed to do this. I just want to include a bit of information other reviews left out. Yes this system will still play US games. ( As other reviewers have stated) The only real issue of owning a U.A.E system in the united states is that if the systems breaks, you won't be able to send them into Nintendo to have them repaired, because it is from a different region. Keeping that in mind I have decided to keep my U.A.E Version to avoid the hassle and having to send it back. I just wanted to make other buyers aware of this. All in all this is a beautiful system. This soft yellow color is is visually stunning! I also love that the x,y,b,a buttons are fully colored rather than just the letter being colored. The screen look perfects and it plays the games I have with no issues.

I want to start by mentioning that I did receive a U.A.E./Saudi Arabia/Malaysia/Singapore version, even though that is not what is pictured in the product information. But it does work in the USA. Just make sure you set the region to the United States during setup, and you'll still have all your usual access to the store. Also remember it doesn't come with an AC adapter so you'll have to get the power cord separately.
I transferred my old system's data to the new one using the built-in system transfer process, and I was able to use my same micro SD card as well, just swapping it from my 3DS XL to this New 3DS XL. No problems at all! All my prior purchases were saved and brought to the new system, along with my Nintendo ID and all game data. All of my physical 3DS games play perfectly as well, with less system lag than I saw on the original 3DS XL.
The buttons are nice and clicky, and the new second "joystick" feels soft and rubbery but functions surprisingly well. The design itself is super cute! Not too bright of a yellow and the sketchy sort of design looks very nice.
My main complaints are specific to the system itself: No more physical switch to easily turn off WiFi, the position of the stylus is no longer handy to get to (now in front instead of on the right side under your hand), the micro SD card can't be removed without a screwdriver, and the hole to fix a strap onto the system is now in the top/back instead of the front/bottom corners (I used to use mine as a makeshift handle and no longer can).
But those aren't the fault of the seller. Just the design from Nintendo. :)

I'm only dropping the review down to four stars because, at this time, I don't know whether it's a problem with my AC adapter or the actual system, and as far as I know, the system can be fixed for free.
I have attached pictures of how the system's lights still look after being charged overnight. When you unplug the system, the battery is so low that the red lights are flashing. I highly recommend purchasing the Amazon 2-year protection that comes with the system, and if you run into a problem similar, go to Nintendo support.

I recently bought this as a gift for my daughter. The system worked great (at first), there were no hiccups when setting it up, and it came with everything included on the box. Pictures are attached. There are no words that can fully express how pleased I am with this 3DS. It works as it should and is GORGEOUS. The milky yellow is beautiful. Just looking at the system makes me happy. The colored buttons contrast the yellow system marvelously, and the Pikachu design on the exterior is perfect. I bought a few cute Pokémon themes in the theme shop (Pikachu Party, Onemuri Pikachu, and Pokémon Radiant Collection) to accent the system soon after transferring my data from my previous system. Needless to say, I'm more than satisfied with the final outcome. TL;DR - The system is gorgeous and is more than worth every penny.
