Is the carrying case larger than I expected. Yes, very much so, but how is this a negative? I took out the silicone mold inside, fold up the earbuds, and stick them in the mesh pouch. Now there's room to carry a game or some other accessory!
While the quality of the parts aren't top-notch, you're paying 20 dollars for these, not 100. I'm not sure what people were expecting. The plastic casing felt sturdy enough to me, the designs are appealing to look at, and the pieces that go in your ears are even angled. I was -not- expecting that. It's a good thing.
Don't expect amazing bass out of these. They're not for that. What they are for, they do wonderfully, and that's ambient sounds and orchestration. I listened to music with these over night and they really brought out subtle tones in the music that wasn't always as noticeable, and I think that's perfect for what you're going to be using them for with the Switch.
Understand what your're buying--a pair of reasonably priced headphones that show off zelda swag. Expect what you pay for and you'll be amazed at what they bring to the table beyond that expectation.
However these headphones are really nice to come back to as a regular earbud lover. I use them for my phone (galaxy s7 edge) and WiiU gamepad for when someone else is in the room while I'm playing. They're probably one of my favorite earbuds of all time now. The case came with a silicone holder but I just chucked that. If needed, I fold the headphones up in the mesh pouch part, then stick w/e small item needed (no switch yet ;_; and 3DS is in it's own pouch with compartment). Otherwise I have these sometimes just in a coat pocket or pouch in backpack, they hold up pretty well to anywhere they're thrown.
I personally have an issue with lots of eadbuds and comfort, bc of sensations but larger headphones tend to have super long cables unless you can shell money out for comfortable bluetooth headsets. I have autism and my ears are one of more sensitive to sensations, but these are really nice to wear for long time.
8) also they're pretty discreet yet cool looking to show love for BoTW
However, I bought 3 (see pictures) because I wanted one to showcase and a backup for work/home. I'm already opening up the 3rd pair since purchase on January 14th. The only time I listened to music with the first earbuds was at work on my lunch break. I'd unwind them out of their carrying case, plug them into my phone, sit at my desk for an hour while I ate, then place back into the carrying case and didn't touch them til the next day's break. After those faded, I got a little paranoid and used my second pair only two or three times a week at night while I did sketching on my bed...
The first one had the right ear fade, and the Zelda logo somehow almost completely faded from the very light use. The second one, the entire left earbud and cord came off randomly.. Literally randomly, I was in bed drawing and suddenly my left ear went out and I looked down and bam.
Surprisingly, the right ear still works even though the left cord completely detached. (Attached a picture of that poor little guy)
I'm really hoping this 3rd will hold up... Going through 2 pairs of these Zelda themed earbuds is disappointing, however they look absolutely beautiful and the sound quality is really great for 20 bucks.
I guess if you're just looking for aesthetics and don't have much expectation for these to last more than a couple weeks of regular use, then these fit that criteria. However, I do regret buying 3. I had a hunch the price was too low for a good quality build :(

They're gorgeous, but they each broke after about 2 weeks.
