Looks amazing with the matte Red-Joycons!!!! I'm glad that I got the bundle! It came on they day it was predicted to and came a few hours ahead of schedule :D. Everything thing is there and in working order. The system is fast and efficient, with all the apps. Updating took about 5 or so seconds. The only reason this does not get 5 stars is because it comes with a digital code instead of pre-installed or physical and that it lacks a screen protector. The special edition case looks nice, though you could find better cases on Amazon. Honestly, if you have the $412.39 or so depending or location + 2 day shipping, you won't regret it. It's $10-15 cheaper if you buy the system and game separate but it's your call. From what I can tell, this buyer seems quite reliable, so don't be afraid of getting scammed. I haven't done much on it yet, so not much more to say, but I highly recommend getting a screen protector to protect the screen from possible scratching in the dock. Also invest in silicon Joy-Con sleeves to protect them from years of use. To leave on a positive note, this was a satisfying purchase. Highly recommend you get this while you can or wait until Black Friday when it'll be around $50 cheaper. I can not wait to spend my weekend playing Super Mario Odyssey! :P

Haven't had this much fun with a console in YEARS. Only a year into its release and it has an astounding number of ports and releases that make picking this up one of the easiest decisions ever. This particular version of the switch is the Super Mario Odyssey special edition that comes with a download code for the game (not a card, you have to download it after setting up the switch). There's nothing different about the base station, but it does come with two really cool, bright red joycons and a really nice carrying/travel case. Feels great in the hands and I've been enjoying it both on my TV and handheld, but mostly handheld. It's just so convenient! Excited for whatever releases are coming in the future! Nintendo really hit it out of the park with this one.

This was a gift for my kids (who already have a Wii U and an Xbox) and they love this thing. Besides being able to connect it to a television (like most gaming system), this one is also very portable (like a large 3DS), so they really enjoy being able to take it "on the go". I'm not a gamer, so I can't really speak to the graphics or selection of games, but judging by the squeals of joy coming from our game room when the kids are playing, I'm guessing that this is at least on par with (if not better than) their other consoles.

This bundle is everything it needs to be. I'm reviewing this based on what it actually is, and so many people are not doing so. This is the Super Mario Odyssey Bundle. It includes a switch unit with Red Joycons (no, not neon red, these are a nice bold red, to match Mario!). This package also includes all the other switch accessories (grip, joy-con straps, dock, cables ect), but it also includes an Odyssey Case and a full copy of Odyssey (digital, I'll get to this in a moment).

The case itself is very nice, nicer than I had expected it to be. The outside has a map of the different kingdoms, and the inside is black. The inside also has a little flap for a few games and a cable, but don't be expecting to fit everything in here. It's just enough room for a few things to take your switch with you. It was a very nice add on piece which I enjoyed having day 1 to protect my system.

Now onto the game. Nintendo includes Super Mario Odyssey in this bundle as a digital download. Inside the box you receive a code to redeem Odyssey on the Eshop. I've been reading the reviews coming in for this bundle and people are downvoting it BECAUSE of the fact that the game is digital and doesnt come preinstalled. From my years of gaming experience, this is the norm for most tie in game/console bundles. For me the 5.2 GB game only took me maybe 30-40 mins to download. Not that big of a deal in my book.

This is a great bundle for someone looking to get a case and game and a switch all in one box. Ignore the nintendo fans nitpicking this bundle, because It is a great deal!

Absolutely love this. I haven't bought a new videogame system since getting the SNES when it came out. The Switch Mario game is so good, it is the ultimate HD Mario open world sequel to Mario 64 that i always wanted. There is stuff in the game that is also very special for longtime fans and the console is so unique! I am a clumsy person and drop the joycons on a hardwood floor many times and still no damage. The controllers are very resilient and i do not find them awkward in any way (in fact they are free-ing). They are very light and it is interesting to not hold a much heavier single device like the Dualshock or heavier Xbox controllers. I was not sold on the joycon concept when i heard about it but this has been a wonderful experience. It feels like a healthier experience with less impact on my hands! Anyways I also bought Zelda BOTW and Stardew Valley, highly recommend both as well! =) LOVE IT

Anyone that rated this poorly because it didn’t come with a physical copy of the game is a fool. The description says exactly what comes in this bundle. That also applies to the kids that rate it 1 star because they think it’s a ripoff without buying it. If you don’t want the digital copy or the case, buy a regular switch and a used copy with your lunch money. I prefer digital copies and I wanted the red joycons so I read the description and decided this was a good purchase for me so I bought it and I’m very happy with it. I don’t like the case but I knew it was a part of the package so I’m not going to give 1 star because I paid extra for it because I knew what I was getting. It’s sad the review score suffers because a few kids don’t get their way.. if money is an issue, buy a used switch and a used copy of Odyssey or wait for the price to drop. Or cry in a review and see if you get your way.

It is fun but even now there still really isn't enough games for it. Also one thing that is really annoying is a lot of the games that are new releases for the Switch are games that were released months or even a year ago on other consoles but Nintendo feels that it is OK to charge you full price for a game that is basically 20 bucks on every other console. (looking at you Wolfenstein2...). The only other knock i have is the battery life when undocked is very lackluster. Depends on the games you play but for instance Zelda will get you about 2-3hrs max with the brightness turned all the way down and the audio off. Mario may get you 4hrs but it doesn't often.

It does look good for a handheld but it is somewhat underpowered for a full blown console. Nintendo makes up for the lack of power by usually making more cartoonish games that don't need the power for photorealism but they are making headway with some of the newer titles.

Purchased this a month or so before Christmas when it first came out and so it stayed up on my closet, sealed until Christmas morning. We downloaded the game, which took forever and it seemed to work well after that. A couple of days ago it stopped working. Screen has red and blue lines through it and is a complete mess. Not playable. My children are 11&14 and have no dropped the game or anything, the reasons you would think something like this would happen. We were sitting there playing Mario Kart and BAM! Lines all over the place! I’m sure this is a Switch defect but I can’t believe we payed a small fortune for something to work for 2 weeks. Very frustrating!

I bought this as a pre-order on September 22, 2017 and it was delivered on October 30, 2017. Perfect!! Unlike some of the purchasers who gave this a 1 star review, I read the description and knew exactly what I was getting and it's a great console and game machine for the $499 I paid when it was offered for pre-order. As for the morons who complain the Super Mario game was a download and not a physical game, this is made VERY clear, even on the outside of the box in the photo where it says FULL GAME DOWNLOAD. The reviews that complain about this just come from people who aren't too smart.

The whole purchase experience with this was excellent. I knew it would be a month or more to arrive and I was surprised it arrived as early as it did. It was in perfect condition and it works perfectly! The ability to detach the portable screen and bring it anywhere with you is superb and the included carrying case is good. The included controllers are small and are intended to work well when detached and you are away from your TV, and I knew this even before I purchased it. I also bought two wireless pro controllers that make it nicer when playing in front of the big screen.

A great unit for a great price! And don't let anyone else tell you different! :)

I really like the switch, but when I received it I discovered something weird. The Switch box appeared to have been previously opened, and the Super Mario Odyssey code had already been scratched and used. So I had been shipped an open-box Switch.

They were good about crediting me the cost to buy a new copy of Super Mario Odyssey, and the console itself works fine, but it still bugs me that I received an open box in the first place.

Who doesn't love Nintendo. The console doesn't come with the Super Mario Odyssey cartridge though, it came with a download code which is fine but we opened on Christmas and couldn't download right away because the server was "under maintenance". We figure they were busy on Christmas day with all the other purchasers downloading and buying stuff from the eshop. Got it downloaded within a few hours though.
