Nite Ize makes WONDERFUL holsters for your belt-line kit, but I was simply looking for something to hold my Leatherman & butane lighter (and possibly a few other small things if I couldn't find something compact enough) that would replace the mismatched holsters I currently have. Surprisingly, NO WHERE does it say here or at mfg website what the dimensions of this model are other than the belt clip size.

Empty dimensions are SEVEN INCHES tall, 3.25" W at the back, and 1.75" D, not counting the belt clip that is another 5/8" deep. Assuming it's in front of you on your belt, there are four inner storage areas: a flat full-length pocket closest to your belt with a closed bottom; then there's a 3.5" sleeve on the left with a bottom for a multi-tool (max height = 5.5", 1.5" W) and an open-bottom sleeve on the right that is 4" and will accommodate up to 6.5" (1" W); and the front full-length area for "something else".

Caveats:
- With the sleeves full, I don't see fitting a whole lot in the outer-most pocket. They suggest a phone or GPS, but unless the elastic is stretched quite a bit, there's potential for catastrophic screen breakage. I wouldn't put my G1 in there, but the "large clip case plus magnet phone holster" is a perfect match.
- The narrow inner sleeves are lined with soft felt, but everything else is rough. Not a terrible thing since it's strong material, but what I like about their phone holster is the inside is lined with soft felt in the back, so it's comforting to know that my phone screen is being cleaned each time I put it in.

The fault is entirely my own, and I have no one but myself to blame, but for my purposes, this holster is utterly useless. I was looking for something that would carry my Leatherman Wave multitool, flashlight, and cell phone all in one unit, and as illustrated, this appeared to be just what I needed. As I say, I have no one but myself to blame, because the dimensions are clearly printed, but I never bothered to look for them, instead just going by the picture, which is somewhat deceptive. My small (3 1/2 in) cell phone drops in and is completely lost in a 6 in deep pouch, as does my single AA cell led flashlight.

Nite Lite makes good products, I have used others before and never had ant complaints, but this one, for me, at least, has no use whatsoever. Take my advice and BE SURE WHAT YOU ARE BUYING BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER. For it' intended purpose, carrying a much larger phone and flashlight than I do, it would be great. But not for me.

I give it high ratings for quality and workmanship. It's not Nite Ize's fault that I bought the wrong thing.

I bought this for ~$9 - Not bad, relative to other holsters.

Pros
* Durable and well made - In this case, I know my gear is safe
* Holds items securely
* A nice number of compartments
* Rugged and smoothly operating belt attachment
* Strong Velcro yields secure closure
* Good looking

Cons
* A bit bulky
* Does not fit as much stuff as I thought it would - I am storing a Maglite XL50, a Nebo CSI Edge, extra batteries, a tiny Leatherman Micra, and I can put one more small item in
it.

Overall, a high quality product.

I've used this item since November (so a little over 8 months now), and it's held up like a champion. I purchased this item after the factory holders for my Gerber multi-tool and Fenix flashlight started giving out (which was rather disappointing as, the Fenix one only lasted about 4-5 months, and the Gerber lasted even less than that - maybe 3 months). This thing, however, is a trooper. It's held up like a champion while traveling with me through Afghanistan in some pretty harsh conditions, and hasn't shown any signs of wear or tear (at least not that I can see). I also like how it has a slot in the front that fits my phone (though I normally don't carry one, as most the time I don't have a signal in the places I travel to). Instead, I'll throw a pen and a sharpie in the front slot, which has worked out pretty well - for the most part (I'll explain later).

I only have two complaints about this thing (one being a personal preference, and the other being a slight annoyance). First off, I've discovered that I personally prefer to keep my flashlight and multi-tool in separate cases, as it allows me to distribute the weight/bulk better on my belt (instead of having one big pouch on one side of my body). Although it does make it more convenient at times to have everything all together (eg: I remove it before traveling in military transports, as those seats are tiny and sometimes the pilots like to make sharp turns/banks), but other than that I prefer to have everything distributed evenly.

My only other gripe is that there are no pen loops for holding onto pens, so I just put them in the main pocket where your phone would normally go.
