WHAT TO EXPECT:
---They give off a small amount of diffuse light, and are meant for looping on to zippered things (jackets, tents, camera bags, etc.) Roughly the size of a cough drop.
---They're not extremely bright, but aren't intended to light an area, as much as they're meant so OTHER people can see YOU. I have them on jackets so people can see me when camping or walking the dog, and on my tent so I can find the zipper without any drama.
---There's no exposed metal, so they don't jangle around noisily.
ARE THEY EASY TO USE?
---Only one moving part: a tiny wafer dial thing that twists right or left for ON/OFF. Don't twist too much or the battery could pop out.
---They're easy to thread through zippers. Only drawback is that even if looped correctly, there's no guarantee it wont accidentally twist around and point toward your body instead.
HOW DO THEY COMPARE TO OTHER NITE IZE?
---ZipLit is the smallest and dimmest. The housing is a hard cloudy plastic disc, (maybe a few nickels stacked together in size? ) It's enough of a glow that people can see you at night, but won't be blinded.
---ClipLit is GREAT; roughly the shape of 3-4 quarters stacked together. It has tiny carabiner that is perpendicular to the disc, so if you clipped it to a zipper, the light would always face forward. The light is diffuse, but enough to see a keyhole or find something in your bag. Like ZipLit, the housing is a hard flat disk; twist for ON/OFF.Read more ›
Cons: not exceedingly bright, waterproof in heavy rain (possible con, I don't know, but it has no rubber gasket seal), questionable purpose as it is not very large or bright, paracord pulls function better as pulls on any zipper, the back is the battery door and unlighted and the device twists on the zipper making the light oftentimes face toward your bag or garment. Battery door not fixed to unit so it's small and easily lost.
These small batteries can be a pain to buy (unlike AAAs that go in the 3 LED flashers that are used on bicycle and safety vest lights).
Happy and safe travels.

I like the concept, I have the red ones which I can't seem to find anywhere, the white is not as bright as I thought it would be. Handy product.Published 1 month ago by Jason F.
I will admit they don't put out a lot of light, but for what they are, they are perfect and we'll priced. Check them periodically because I have had mine turn on by accident. Read morePublished 3 months ago by J. D. Stafford
