Why lower rating due to your own mistake???

Never understand why people lower ratings on products due to their own mistake. Yes these are very small. Measurements are given along with being mentioned in other reviews.

Does the small size take away from the quality of the product? NO, it doesn't. These are excellent quality and work well for my 5 pound yorkies dog tags. That is why I got the small size. I also ordered the next size up just in case these were too small. I'm now using the size 1 for my larger dogs tags after he broke the expensive model marketed for dog tags.

2+ years and stil going strong. Neither dog had lost their tags, nor have they managed to get them open or break them like they did with the expensive dog tag holders.

Please, please rate products for what they are, not because you made a mistake when ordering.

I realize that they are size 0, but I ordered them so that I could take my dog's tags easily on and off his collar. The tags clipped on very easily but when it came to clipping to the collar, the carabiner would open to put on the collar, but the D hook of the collar was bigger than the opening. I did manage to force it to close so for that I am glad there are 2 carabiners as I will not be removing the one that is now on there - I don't think I could if I wanted to without breaking it. I like the actual size of the product as it keeps the tags close to the collar. If the opening part of the carabiner was larger, it would have gotten a 5 star rating!

I love these little carabiners from Nite Ize. They work great for color coding all my keys, and in the year I have been using them not once has anything ever come loose or fallen off. I also have several of the stainless steel .5 size with the locking feature. They are fantastic for larger keys like plastic covered car ignition keys. plus they provide that extra bit of security as they lock your keys in (also clip a Swiss Army knife on one of these to keep in my backpack) Both styles are great, and have never let me down.

I was not sure of the actual size of these until I received them. I have been racking my brain to find a use for these litte creatures. I hooked one on my coat zipper, where the pull strip was and there ya go, a use. It might have been me over looking the picture of teh fingers holding one, or it was recently added.
LUCKILY, I did not spend much on them and teh shipping was free. It is what it is and a lesson learned, with no hard feelings. Other than size, pdt is exactly what it is and works.

The reviews that I read before purchasing this did not give me a very good idea of the size of these carabiners. They are pretty solid and will clip onto a key chain, but clipping said key chain onto something else is a bit harder. I also find it a bit hard to unattach the carabiner from things, but I'm not sure if this is due to size or something else.

I won't give this a bad review, as the carabiner mostly does what I want it to, and the product description was accurate. I would have bought a size up if I had understood how small they were, however, and I would have added a photo of these next to a coin if only Amazon hadn't removed the option to add customer images!

Probably a great product but all the photos should be labeled as "larger than actual item". If you can, look at the users photos where they show the item with something to demonstrate scale. I bought these intending to use them on the ends of rope when tying down bulky loads. You would have a hard time tying shoestrings with this particular size. Need to be labeled for actual size and weight capacity. Not just "not for life-saving activity" or some such other non-decript warning not to put your survival hopes in it.

I have used the spring-loaded counsumer "caribinar" type clip for a number of things that I want to hang off a jacket, belt, back pack, or camera bag for years. Usually they have weak spring clamps and are awkward to use since the single spring-clip holding the item also holds onto the garment or bag. This "S" clip type device has separate strong spring-loaded clips at both ends of the "S." I can't speak to the longevity of the spring mechanism. But, for the convenience it's the difference between sliced bread and the uncut loaf. Clips are weight rated on the store packet and as a reminder on the clip - a great help. There are various sizes of clips that hold up to 75 lbs. So, it's not just an on-you-belt product. I haven't been disappointed with the several differently sized S-BINER clips that I have.
