Flat top 18650s need a spacer to contact the head, suppose to be waterproof to 2meters. Need 1.5mm allen wrench to remove pocket clip which I did so it would fit into a cheap headband I have when I want hands free use.

I like it a lot better than the 4seven quark I use to have which never worked well for me.

Edit: I I accidentally knocked it off a ledge I had it resting on and in my effort to catch it I stomped on it. I turned it back on and it would strobe if I tried to turn it to high and I was so worried I broke my light. I forgot that it has a low battery override so you can maintain at least some light for a longer duration in the lower settings. Also I had this in my pocket during a day of concrete mixing/pouring and somehow my pocket that it was in got filled with quikrete. The dial made a horrible grinding sound as I tried to clean it out. It's still waterproof and beat to hell, good light. I don't normally abuse my tools as much as this guy has gotten.

This is the first Nitecore light I've owned and am pleased as punch with it! Its compact size is typical of similar lights in its class, but the brightness control ring is what sets it apart from most of the others.

The real-low is so low, you'd think the batteries were dead. But with a simple continuous turn of the ring it gets brighter and brighter! Its 345 lumen limit is as bright as you'd want for most situations.

Also great that it runs on either (1) Li-ion 18650 (rechargeable) cell or (2) lithium CR123A's or (2) 16340 -RCR- rechargeable cells.

Very versatile little tool.

Purchased NiteCore Infilux IFE2 XP-G R5 LED Flashlight last year. Upon receiving the light, I did try it & the light worked as advertised. Then I took the battery out & stored the light (in its original box) in a cabinet with the rest of my other flashlights. Today, while I was having a conversation with a friend of mine who is in the market to purchase an LED light as an EDC, so I decided to show him my NiteCore Infilux IFE2 that I was so proud to own, but upon inserting a fully charged AW 18650 battery, to my disppointment, the light won't turn on. Tried different batteries to no avail.
Then all of a sudden the spring i the tailcap just popped off.
Emailed Nitecore, but got no response so far.
Bottom line, I am very disappointed with this light & I wouldn't recommend it to anybody & there goes my hard-earned $110.00 that I paid for this light.

Edit: I did get a response from NiteCore & they mentioned that this model has been discontinued (OMG, I am so surprised) & that I should either send the light back to them or to the dealer where I originally bought the light from.
I ended up contacting the vendor instead & shipped the light to them for repairs & have just been informed via email that my light has been repaired already & that it is on its way back to me. In case you're curious, they said that they replaced the tailcap switch.
