- Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2025Style: Strap HeadbandVerified PurchaseWhy did you pick this product vs others?:
I bought this a a light for illuminating craft projects and the ultra light weight of the light combined with standard AA battery makes it very useful and comfortable. Rechargeable AA batteries seem to last longer than standard batteries.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2024I bought this based on my experience with another Nitecore light, and YouTube reviews. It is compact, lightweight, has practical features, reasonably priced, runs on one AA battery which are available anywhere you can find batteries. Highly recommend!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2023This is a light and compact headlamp which runs off of a single AA battery. It is compatible with Alkaline, NIMH rechargable, Lithium primary and 1.5 volt regulated rechargeable lithium batteries like EBL.
It's very light and I've fallen asleep wearing it once.
It has the following modes (table attached)
red (5 lumens for 10 hours), red flashing
white ultra low (6 lumens for 40 hours)
white low (60 lumens for 10 hours)
White high (240 lumens for 4 hours) and white flashing.
These numbers were supposedly achieved with ordinary Alkaline batteries.
I find these numbers hard to digest. I think the ultra low is 20 lumens and no way it can do 40 hours on that setting.
It also comes with a clip for a baseball cap.
The included Paracord is elastic, phosphorescent and adjustable.
Pros:
Super light, super convenient, great for emergencies, and claims to be IP66 water resistant.
Cons:
Plastic flashing on the battery lid scratched up one on my lithium batteries and I had to file it down.
I don't believe the claims about the runtime.
Nitecore has a video on yoo toob explaining all the functions.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2024This thing takes 1 AA battery which is incredible, and it's crowning feature. Super light weight, versatile, I don't have to carry around bags full of AAA or worry about recharging, I use this thing climbing, hunting, backpacking, trailrunning. Not the brightest but it doesn't need to be. Best headlight I own. And worth every cent

- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2025I'm not impressed. The housing seems cheap. That said; it works and it's light weight. Not much else to say about it.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2024Overall Impression: While the Nitecore HA11 offers some practical features like its AA battery, comfortable clip, and easy interface, its automatic dimming feature significantly detracts from its advertised high-brightness performance.
Pros:
* AA Battery: Convenient and easily replaceable.
* Comfortable Clip: Securely attaches to headgear.
* Easy Interface: Simple controls for various light settings.
* Lightweight: Comfortable to wear for extended periods.
Cons:
* Automatic Dimming: Unexpected and frustrating, limiting the use of high brightness.
* Misleading Advertising: The product description doesn't clearly mention the dimming feature.
Recommendations:
* Consider Other Options: If high brightness is a priority, explore headlamps without automatic dimming.
* Check Product Reviews: Thoroughly read reviews to understand any hidden features or limitations.
Conclusion: While the Nitecore HA11 may be suitable for users who primarily need medium or low-brightness settings, its automatic dimming feature makes it a disappointing choice for those seeking a reliable high-brightness headlamp.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2023I bought this headlamp for backpacking. I didn't want a rechargeable and using a single AA was critical, as the only battery operated gear I carry (Garmin GPS and EagTac flashlight) use AA batteries. Having a red light was also critical. Buds aren't attracted to red like they are too white. And obviously being lightweight was also critical. This hits all the marks. While others have complained that it feels cheap, I disagree. Being lightweight means thinner material. But thing has held to some fairly rough treatment. In the event I have to replace this headlamp, it'll be with the same product. What more needs to be said?
