Here's a 24 hour review (really, all this in 24 hours). Zeroed the supplied scope (Centerpoint 3-9x32) at 30 feet in the basement range, and was shooting through one hole in about 20 shots; took out a pesky possum with a head shot at 25 feet 4 hours later (and he wasn't a little guy -- about 8 lbs.). Set up the 25 yard range at daylight and fine-tuned the scope. Hitting quarter-sized groups of 5 shots with no flyers, using Crosman Pointed pellets (also tried RWS Supermags, Superpoints and Crosman Destroyers; mine does MUCH better with Premium Pointed from Crosman). Put down 2 squirrels in the AM -- one at 30 feet and one at 55 feet. At around 50 pellets, this thing is a killer -- I'm scared to think of what it'll be capable of after break-in.
Scope is adequate. Not much eye relief, and probably not much use beyond 30 yards (out of focus beyond that). That's OK for me, because that's the edge of my yard where most of the rodents play. MUCH more quiet than my Gamo Big Cat. Have a Hawke 3-9x40 AO on that, which gets rattled out of zero every 50 shots due to the dynamic recoil inherent of a springer (which manages to loosen at around 200 shots even with the anchor bolt). Will put that on the Venom Dusk and expect no problems -- the recoil is hardly noticeable.
An amazing gun for the price. The gas technology is sooooo much better than a spring.
When the second gun arrived we inspected it closely and the linkage was quite straight. We cocked the rifle slowly and could watch as the linakge bent and twisted in the same way as the first. We packaged this one up and once again Amazons return policy got us a quick label and we'll get a refund this time.
Two rifles both with the same issue shows a horrible lack of quality control for the product. I won't purchase another Crosman, or Benjamin (which is made by Crosman) again.
The gun is great quality, the scope is pretty good and overall it loads and shoots much smoother than the other guns i tried. I've haven't shot it too much yet but it was easy enough to sight in the scope. It's very accurate and sturdy, and also fairly quiet. I'm able to shoot it in my yard without upsetting neighbors. I would recommend this gun to everyone, you will not regret buying it.
-Even after reading reviews that said not to, I tried the cheap, pointed pellets as that is what I had left over from using my dad's old pellet gun. I sighted the gun in within minutes at 10 yards and I was putting 9/10 pellets into a half inch bulls-eye. When I backed up to 15 yards, pellets were flying all over the target and it got frustrating real quick. I remembered reading some reviews that certain pellets won't shoot well so I hopped in my truck and went to Walmart to buy different pellets to see if they really did make a difference. Both the box and several reviews said to use the Crosman Premier Hollow Points so that's what I got. I got them from Walmart or you can get them here on Amazon. I wish I would have just ordered the Hollow Points with the rifle and a lot of the frustration would have been avoided. I shot at 10 yards again and a few adjustments were needed but I was dialed in after only a few minutes. I backed up to 15 yards and what a difference these pellets made! Pellet after pellet was going right in the bulls-eye! I might also add that these Hollow Points fit absolutely perfect in the barrel whereas the cheap, pointed pellets went in way too easily. The hollow points take just a little bit of pressure to get them seated in the barrel and they are in there for good until you shoot. The hollow points are also noticeably quieter likely due to them flying at a slower speed.Read more ›

Very quiet for the all the power it has AFTER it's broken in (100 shots or so).
Nice scope and easy to dial in on target.
I highly recommend this rifle.
Great gun at a good price. The scope is better than I expected for a freebie. I put the scope on and tightened it down then took a shot at a target about 35 feet away. Read morePublished 15 months ago by Desert Dweller
Very nice rifle. Easy to site in scope. A little louder than expected. But very accurate. Good buy for the money.Published 16 months ago by Les N.
